Never seen it. One: I'm poor, and two: I'm too lazy to find where to download it and most of all: I'm NOT INTERESTED.

I agree with Del that its purpose was just to be a fanboy ritual dedicated to an unreasonable overrated FF game. I hope my ass never to see it.

I'd rather see FF8-wanna-be Spirits Within than this. But I really wanna watch FF Legends of the Crystals (Long live the crystals)!!

Shame on you! thumbdown.gif I'd rather die a thousand deaths than watch FF Spirits Within again. I wanted to cry it was so god aweful terrible. But then again we all have different likes. But I think if AC would've came out sooner from when I first played the game, I wouldn't have liked it. I was just driven mad by the idea of a FF7 movie for so long it's like I can't admit to myself that it isn't that good happy.gif But I love it.

Japanese twice American twice. The movie is amaizing in my opinion. Because Everyone wanted more ff7 so they gave it to us! Even though the American Voice acting is bad and it would have taken another year or more to fix the lips of the characters because they are so off sync with there voices in the american version, it is still a great movie!

lol yeah i feel the same way, i personally am obssesed with FFVII and loved the movie. and the fact that they made the movie instead of any of the other FF's does that something about the popularity and the awesomeness of the game? Given some things in it arent perfect but it was awesome.

Twice, both English.

My brother made my mom buy it for him, so I watched it one day. Afterwards was a feeling of "Did I miss something?" because there seemed to be a huge unidentified hole in the plot, like in X-Men 3. I watched it again later (with a pen and paper to write complaints) and unlike X-Men 3, no, I did not miss anything.

And everyone bashes it D: So I'm embarrassed.

I will say no more.

I thought it was a pretty good movie. I've only watched it once in Japanese and probably three times in English, but I do enjoy it. And Spirits was actually a pretty good movie, but everyone seems to have their own ideas of what FF should be, so that's gonna hurt it around fans, I guess

spirits was a superb movie... but it just simply wasnt an FF movie... if the title was just simply Squaresoft presents it would have been fine. so youre right it did hurt it a little bit... although having the name be FF probably boosted sales a bit... i guess since thats whats important. they got what they wanted

Way too many times for my own good.

I watched it three times in one day before.
I'm very sad.
The acting is bad, I'll admit in English

Two times. Once in English, and once in Japanese with English subtitles. I wasn't particularly impressed with either version.

I watched the Japanese version illegally when it first came out. Other than that, I watched about half of it in English when it released before I pulled it out and realized what a waste of time it was. Corny voice acting, and dialogue replaced with things like "you meanie." Absolutely terrible. Overall, I thought it was pretty good, as long as it's in Japanese.

Edit: My girlfriend wanted to watch it with me once as well so, (being that she is Korean) we watched it in Korean. Of course, we were in Korea, where one can readily buy the Korean dubbed version.

I've seen the english version once, and I thought it was alright.

I didn't have any major issues with the voice acting.

I think it was an okay movie, good for mindless entertainment but I wouldn't pay to see it.

Subtitled, twice.
First time for the eye-candy, second time at a party, for the laughs.

I found it surprisingly amusing ("They're tossing Cloud! All that's missing here is for the spirit of Aeris to come up and...she did! *laughs*") and amazingly succulent to the eyes. Plot? Who needs plot? (Although more Cid and Red would be cool.)

Zero times. Never intended to watch it, I still don't.

This film and other related advertisement products with the same name of the original seventh-installment to the seires are purely unsatisfactory jest profiteering exercises made by this company to milk the feeble-minded crowd's wallets, who praise this game like gold.

On behalf of my self being offered yet again to watch this vile rip-off affair, I restate my exact same reply: "No thanks, and don't ask me about it either,"

You said it. I felt like there was a HUGE lack in plot. It almost seemed as though they just made the movie out of fight scenes and threw in a few extra words here and there. The intentions of the villains seemed to be a bit redundant with all the reunion nonsense and then
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
all this talk of Sephiroth using the planet as a ship to sail the cosmos
This movie was seriously lacking in the plot area.

I watched it like 3 times, but still didn't understand much, the new character's names were awful (Kadaj, okay but YAZOO and LOZ?) there was no real story, just fights, and the way they tied it to Sephiroth is plain weak. Although it's graphics are perfect, and the battles were breathtaking, it wasn't a nice sequel for an awesome game like FF7.

There are four more things that I can't understand, and those are HOW can it be that any party member's hit against that Bahamut-whatever (BahamutSIN, was it?) doesn't work while Cloud takes it in one stab, how the buster sword can separate into six, how they could make Reno and Rude act that stupid (they are funny, but not stupid), and HOW they didn't put more "Cid-mojo" into it.

I watched it once, and then I gave away the copy that I wasted money on to a friend for his birthday.

I didn't like the frame cuts they used, I didn't like framing, I didn't like this that or the other thing.

Frankly, I hated it.
The CG was pretty, but that's about it.

The Spirits Within is a movie I much prefer, if I had to choose a Squaresoft CG. Arguing that it isn't Final Fantasy is sort of a moot point for me. It has a Cid, and for me that's all a game seems to need to be labeled a Final Fantasy. (I'm not even sure if FF Online has a Cid, and I'm not sure I care)

1. Cloud got fastballed by everyone and their dog, including the dead girl, Aeris Gainsborough. It's lodged somewhere between awesomeness and idiocy.
That, or you just didn't see the damage numbers pop up over Bahamut's head when they were attacking. ;P
2. It's not the Buster Sword. The original BS got stuck into hill in front of Midgar. The sword that split in six was The-Movie's-Gimmicky-Sword, designed for The-Movie's-Even-Gimmickier-Final-Limit-Break.
3. Reno and Rude didn't really act stupid, but were sadly used for rather non-creative comic-relief. Reno still is the Awesomeness incarnate.
4. What?

Watched a few than more ten times because sadly had to sit through it during friends birthday parties, it was like the movie to watch at your birthday [ for some strange reason ]

Though the few first times of watching it was okay, but then really started to dislike the movie fast and rather quickly.

The characters changed so much in a short amount of time. Reno was changed into a clown. Cloud [ the 'tough' soldier guy ] was changed into a pretty-boy wuss for 14/15 year old fangirls to crave over. Tifa had a personality change, Cid was different too. The only ones who didn't change was Vincent and Yuffie [maybe Rufus despite the weird wheelchair thing ]

The movie is just plain shallow.

A cellphone falling into the dark depths of the waters gets more airtime than Barret ever did and Barret was like the second main character in the game dry.gif

I bought it on a whim. Watched it a few times in Japanese - the VA is far better. The only time I truly enjoyed it was when we edited the subtitles to say the name of a good friend instead of Sephiroth and somebody else I can't remember for Cloud. That was worthwhile. A bit like: 'the only way we can save the planet again is if we all join forces to beat David.'

The Turks were poor. That was poor poor humour.

duh.. i saw the japanese version with spanish subtitles like 4 times when i wasnt really good at english.
then I lost the movie ( i cried ) but went buying it again in english this time. ( I had to go to the states to get it ) and I have watched it over 10 times in the japanese version with english subtitles.

I have only watched it once with english voice. it isnt a big difference, but i like vincent's english voice better than japanese.

so.. yeah. Japanese voices are better. but english arent that bad, allright.
