Well I finally figured out Gogos identity.
Gogo is Gaus siamese twin
first compare the two sprites





Both of the sprites have the same colors and both names are extremely odd
(and begin with G)

This is also the reason Gaus mother died at birth (two baies were to large for her) the father went insane because he saw the two children together and thought it was a demon he then hurled Gau and Gogo into the Veldt, a zone eater then ate Gogo leaving Gau unconscious on the veldt. The reason i state this is because when you try to reunite Gau with his father he says this "Suddenly the crying stopped i turned around and saw a frightful monster..." which was the zone eater eating gogo. After that the Two brothers developed seperate mimic abilities. Since Gau was in the veldt with monsters he got rage which mimicked the monsters and since Gogo was around more humonoid creatures he developed his ability to mimic humans.

Notice both have green hair

Also both Gau and Gogo dress in very odd clothing.
I forget what it commented about Gogo's rags but i remember it saying A boy draped
in animal hides or something to that effect about Gau and it talks of says Gogo is shrouded in odd clothing, the same colors as Gaus clothing.

I hope this doesn't get closed again...

Anyway, I still think Gogo is Gogo.

And Gogo can't be Gau if they can both be fighting at the same time. >_>;

I don't think that's Gogo's hair But I think Gogo is, *laugh* Kefka's little 19 year old sis that bacame Edgar's bodyguard, then tried to get killed and got dumped in the island!

I agree...Gogo is simply Gogo. We can make a hundred links between characters in the story and say they have a relation...

Well Gau is nothing like Gogo.Gogo barely talks and Gau i fine talks quite a bit.And Gau is incredibly annoying,while Gogo just sits,or stands.

Gogo is one of the main characters in the video game "Final fantasy VII" He uses "Mimic" to aid his party.

Well Terra's sprite has green hair, does that mean she is Gogo's mother? Sadly Hair cannot be considered 'unique' to both Gogo and Gau. Also Gau's hair is dark blonde, in the sprite, While Gogo's hair cannot be seen. So that makes the situation further nebulous and vague.

Gogo is Gogo. There is no indication otherwise in the game. What more can be said?

The only accepted identity of Gogo is that of the mimic in FF5, which is also called Gogo, is identical in appearance, and ends up being sent "to another dimension."

FURTHERMORE, seing as Gogo is accepted as originating from the FFV world, then that rather seals shut the argument that he'd be Daryl/Banon/Chupon/Whoever.

Well I do think Strago, Relm, Gau, and Gogo are somehow related because the skills

Well yeah, Gogo can have alot of abilities.

By all means, you've just given me an idea.

See, Celes, Edgar, and Sabin all share the same palette. We all know, of course, that Edgar and Sabin are related. But what about Celes? They DO share the same palette, and let's face it, she doesn't look like a commoner. Could they be related?

Let's dig deeper. They're all exactly 16 pixels high. Coincidence? I think not.

Let's dig even deeper. All three of their abilities are conviniently located in the same slot. And neither of their abilities cost any MP to use. Tools Blitz Runic? All 5 letters.

Oh, speaking of palettes, do you think Strago et all could be related to Kefka? They share the same palette as well and Kefka is a magic-user; both Strago and Relm come from a village of mages, Gau's skills nearly all replicate spells, and well, Gogo can mimic spells and gains the sum of all the party's known magic at his disposal.

This would, of course, bring the amount of them to 5 - one too many for your party. But then again, that's probably why Kefka's the bad guy.

I think Gogo is Gau's mom or, I kno this was said before but perhaps he/she is the old leader of thieves that Gerad(edgar) tricked. The old leader was swallowed by a sandWORM and you find Gogo in the ZoneEater's Belly. The ZoneEater is a giant worm.
