i rekon that tifa and cloud were the most likly couple if u think about it if cloud didnt fall through the floor cloud would never have met aerith/aeris. and they were drawn together because cloud was in soldoer with her ex zack and as we all know zack and cloud were best freinds.

Well i dunno. most likely i'd say cloud and Tifa cause they seem like a better couple than Cloud and Aerith

Aerith was a lot more of a flirt to Cloud than Tifa was, but Aerith liked Cloud probably 'cause he reminded her so much of her former guy, Zack. As the story progressed, I like the Cloud and Tifa pairing more than the Cloud and Aeris couple. Cloud and Tifa were next door neighbors as children in Nibelheim and the moment they share in the Lifestream and before the final battle, they deserve each other.

Well, Cloud and Aeris were perfect for each other, but Tifa is good, too

I'd rather see Yuffie take Cloud than Aeris.
Like it was mentioned, she was attracted to Cloud because of his striking resemblance to Zack, physically and personality wise. Obviously, had she been around when Cloud regained most of his true memories, her attraction towards him would've diminished.

Tifa expressed a kind of undying devotion to Cloud, in sticking by his side when she wasn't even sure if he was actually himself, being there for him while he was sick from the mako poisoning and even peicing is memory back together with him.

To that extent and because I really hated Aeris, I vote Tifa.

Cloud and Tifa, definitely. Regardless of anything the game has to say on the matter (Cait Sith's 'matchmaking', the scene in which Cloud's mother tells him he needs an older girlfriend, which I took as a hint that he should be with Aeris, etc.), Tifa has the most compatible personality with Cloud. Plus, it seems Aeris is more about military guys than actual personalities. I mean, first it was Zack, then it was Cloud. For a while, I almost thought she and Tseng had dated at one time. It's almost certain that they wouldn't be that great together, on more than the basis of physical attraction. Of course, this post is totally biased, since Tifa's one of my favorite characters and Aeris is...well, Aeris.

Cloud and Tifa definitely seem better to me. As has been said before, and will probably be echoed again, Cloud reminds Aeris of Zack more than anything. Tifa and Cloud, on the other hand, have grown up together and care about eachother deeply

I always preferred the idea of Cloud and Aeris. He seemed to care about her more than anyone. And I think Aeris would have stuck with Cloud all the way too if she would have had the chance.

Yup, Aeris all the way... or Aerith if you prefer.

Cloud and Tifa. Aerith has a bit of a problem that doesn't let her walk around, much less date someone. I won't go into the whole childhood friend thing, as it's been said. Ditto with the AerithxZack thing. I'm just surprised no one's mentioned Aerith's...problem yet.

I think that it was right the way they made it. I'm not sure that it would be the same if Aerith lived. I think that cloud was in such a strange fixation with her, but then at her death Tifa was there for him, thus making him realize his true feelings. I personally liked Aeris and Cloud as a fling, but Tifa and Cloud as a real "couple".

Orignally I would've said...CLOUD AND ME! But now I think I'd go Cloud and Aeris especially after seeing Advent Children. It just made me sad.

I don't think Tifa deserves Cloud because its not like they were really friends when they were young anyways. And if she's waited this long to make a move then it's time for Cloud to mooooove on...well...if he ever was anywhere remotely close to officially dating Tifa.

i never really saw cloud and tifa as a couple. i felt aeris in clouds eyes was the love of his life. too bad she died. they had more of a lust relationship while cloud and tifa would love eachother.

Cloud and Tifa are friends. A little something you learn IRL is that friendship is the total opposite of love; you can't cross over from a close friendship into a romantic relationship, no matter how obvious the opposite would seem. The Friend Zone is a dangerous place to be in if you're trying to get romantically involved with someone.

Aeris makes it obvious right from the start she's interested in knowing more about Cloud and testing the waters for something more than friendship. She doesn't treat him like a close friend at all.

Then she dies, Cloud is on the rebound, and Tifa manages to score him at the end of disc 2.

If anything's realistic about FF7, it's the way the love triangle plays out. Never thought I'd say that, but that's how it is... >"<

I don't really like Aeris that much, I mean, I know she dies, but that doesn't really bother me, it's not like she's the first main character to die

I usual end up upset after a character dies, but for some reason, although I'm not there yet, Aeris's death doesn't bother me

are you simple if you watch advent children closly cloud is close to tifa nad although aerith helps him with bahamut shes back with ZACK!!!!!!!!!!! and cloud was a chiled hood freind with tifa

Yeah, she's "back" with Zack because they are both dead. And if you remember closely to the game...Cloud WAS NOT best friends with Tifa. She was the popular girl who had the three close guy friends and Cloud was the loner who wanted to be her friend. They both only thought they were really close until they remembered it all when they fell into the Lifestream.

I've watched Advent Children over 50 times, I think it's safe to say I watched closely. Aeris helped him with Bahamut? Not really, it was just a minor flash to her while Cloud was careening through the air towards it. The reason why Cloud is so mentally upset/hurt, is because of Aeris. He still holds himself responsible, but I think in a way he still loves her.

Tifa and Cloud are friends now even though they found out they weren't the best of friends when they were little. If Aeris was still alive I would think Cloud would be with neither of them to tell the truth. But I still say that Cloud truly loves Aeris and he loves Tifa as a friend.

So please try to explain yourself better when trying to grill me. Thank you!

I just saw Aeris die, the blade out the stomach thing wasn't shown on AC's Reminisence bit.... Now I feel somewhat upset ;.;

I haven't seen advent children, but from FFVII this is how I believe it will play out
-Cloud will always love Aeris and therefore will overlook Tifa (the idiot) he sees her as a friend
-Tifa has a sort of crush on Cloud throughout the game, she'll eventually see Cloud will never get over Aeris and see Cloud as just a friend
-Tifa will open up a new bar, becausev that's the only job she has experience in
-Reno will eventually find his way in there, the two hit it off

Silverlance don't forget the night with Tifa at the end of Disc2 depends on her affection level, if it's a high level I'd say he scored, but sometimes another girl's level is higher so Tifa has an alternate reaction, Whichever reaction means they took a roll in the hay, I don't know. But since it's not a constant I believe that cloud still can't get over Aeris, and that they don't take a roll in the hay

there is 100% implication of cloud and tifa doing the deed in the end of disc 2 when they spend the night together if you have amassed enough "love points." with tifa saying things like "stick it in me, soldierboywords aren't the only thing to show how you feel about me cloud" and the two of them being embarassed about being "seen" by the other party members (embarassed at being caught spooning? doubtful) the next day seem to suggest to me that in the correct interpretation of the game, tifa and cloud are meant to have come together at the end of ff7.

tifa was the one who saved him from the lifestream; in fact, she was the only one that ever could have. while aeris was certainly more flirty and apparently more comfortable strutting her shit (and while the "canon" novella in the ff7 complete compendium makes it clear that aeris indeed had fallen in love with cloud and no longer loved zack), it was tifa who managed to be there by him all along. see, i always read the game as saying that aeris' ultimate goal was to protect the planet, but tifa's ultimate goal came to be protecting cloud. not to mention, aeris is built like a surfboard.
