Tellah should have Osmose/Psyche, use that if he's low on MP. Now, what I do, is kill his right arm. Well, as long as you kill one arm, and not both. The one that casts Drain/Vampire isn't a big threat, so probably leave that one alive. Now cast Reflect on one of your party members, and bounce off high-level magic on Baigan's main body, although you should still get in one normal spell. Or you could just go and level up in the Waterway if you're not sure.

^^ that's pretty sound advice.
And DON'T use Twin. It takes too long to cast, uses up too much MP, and you're going to want more than just Tellah for black and white magic. It's best to have Porom heal every turn and have Porum and Tellah reflect Fire 2 and Fire 3 off of one of your own party members. -------------------- |

Yeah, and the 'Mini Flare' or whatever it is can be Reflected back at you (I think.), not something good.

He only casts Reflect after you use magic on him, so use Twin once (and only once) to knock him down quite a bit. Both arms usually die from it, then get regenerated. Have Palom use Black magic to get rid of the arm in the front row. Porom and Tellah heal, and Cecil and Yang Attack the body.

Quake makes this battle a breeze. Fairly high level spell for where you're at and it cannot be relfected. Bye-bye Baigan.

Yeah, too bad that not everyone is going to waste their time trying to get that spell at that point in the game. -------------------- |

I highly recommend getting Dancing Daggers for Cecil and Palom. They can be purchased in the Mist Village. Equip them and use them as items, and you can deal about 350-400 damage, which is quite a bit from a physical attack at that stage of the game. Those will make the fight with Baigan easier.

I'm pretty sure Cecil still does more damage with his normal attack, but I could be wrong. Giving Palom a dancing dagger is great. You can also find a tiara in Myst village, though you don't want to lose it by forgetting to deequip Porom after fighting Baigan. -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

Cecils Legend sword should be more powerful than the dancing dagger. Plus im pretty sure you cant get the dancing dagger before this fight because

I seriously don't see why'd you be using the Twin's Special...
I thought he was pretty easy... Porom and Palom heal and cast spells on the arms, let Tellah nuke the body with Fire3 or something once, then let him focus on healing or maybe taking the arms, too... Yang and Cecil beat on the body... I don't see the problem in this fight... are you not healing or something? o.O Sometimes during fights that you're having trouble with, think "Should I heal now, or unleash another attack?" and if you think "yes" or "maybe" or "I'm not sure", heal. -------------------- "A little tight, but the price was right" - Locke "Oh, what a Fuddy Duddy" - Relm "..." - Shadow "I'm a General, not some love starved twit" - Celes "Although Edgar showers his attention on the ladies, most are smart enough to pay him no attention. Berserk Cecil and Yang.Leave the White Magic twin for healing and the other twin use potions or...try to attack. If you have quake use it.Tellah should start off the battle with a hard hitting spell like Fire3 Lit3 Ice3...then he attacks or heal.
Cecil and Yang wont be able to choose there targets but the arms will surely die soon, even when ressurected -------------------- Kel'Thuzad: She is persistent. Reminds me of you, death knight. Arthas:Shut up you damned ghost. -Warcraft III Kel'thuzad comparing Arthas and Sylvanas Windrunner. |

People won't have Quake or Berserk at that time, unless they did unnecessary power-leveling. And Tellah will only get a few shots of level three spells before he'll need MP.
