problems with cockatrice summon drop

Im playing the gba version of this game and it says that the helldivers do drop the cockatrice summon. I was reading in other posts that the snes version didnt have this summon. Can anyone please confirm that the cockatrice summon does drop or even from a helldiver? Ive killed 999+ of them now and even have gotten 4 goblin summons so far =/

It is a dropped item, but you get it from Cockatrice, Eagle, or Roc Baby

Kane's right, but I remember in the GBA version the Mist Eagles in the Lunar Ruins dropping them like nobody's business. You might want to wait until you get there to do some serious summon-hunting.

Mist cave is awesome. There, just fight a Mist Summoner that calls Mist Eagles for an hour or two. Same with Mist Krakens.
