Here's what the CON's database say's about Doom Claw:

I don't know if its somthing odd with my game, or the equipment I had, but Doom Claw also Parylysed it's target in my game.

Acorrding to the comic, this actually happened.

Yea, it does that, too. Or at least in my game. It lowers your health to single digits and paralyzes you.
