3D Fighting Games? Easy.
1st: Tekken Tag Tournament 2nd: Power Stone (1 or 2) 3rd: Soul Calibur I mostly play (and am mostly good at) only Tekken games. I actually haven't played much of Power Stone or Soul Calibur. But my arcade/friend's house experience of the games are only the best. Top-notch games. -------------------- I find your lack of faith disturbing... |

Soul Calibur I (the best fighting game ever! only way it could be improved would be to monkey around with char balance. ie: Maxi.)
VirtuaFighter 4 (much more restricive than soul cal, but it's so well made you can't help but love it. -------------------- "Number One, I order you to go take a number two." |

Easy,
1. Tekken, ph33r my Steve Fox. 2. Mortal Combat, I hoped you paid your insurence because it's thwacky time. 3. I played a version of Street fighter recently that was great. I forgot which fantasticly long name they put on it now but it features a 3-d envyroment to it. -------------------- At times one remains faithful to a cause only because its opponents do not cease to be insipid. No question, Tekken 3. This is the one and only game [not even FF6 was able to do this] that I played for 8 consecutive hours. NOt shutting it off once or stop playing it [aside from getting snacks, etc.]

STREET FIGHTER EX PLUS ALPHA!! Oh yeah, longest fighting game title ever. It is a pretty good game, but the others are so much better. Also, I read about Soul Calibur II. Dear god it looks amazing. I heard that for each system (XBox, GC, PS2) there's a certain secret character. For the GC it's Link, for the PS2 it's Heihachi, and for the XBox it's Spawn. Yeah. I dunno if that's a spoiler or not, but I'll just leave it out in the open. -------------------- I find your lack of faith disturbing... |

Well, my favorite fighter has a.... 3D background.
Comedy "Capcom vs SNK 2" Option. Yes, the fighters are still 2D, but it has some killer 3D backgrounds and animations. Plus, it is just an all around great game. (In fact the only fighter I own for my PS2) Ryu, Terry and Chun Li pwn you mightly. -------------------- "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." - Aristotle |

anyone ever play Tobal No. 1? thats square's one attempt ever at making a fighting game, and i rather enjoyed it. it had a quest mode, which is still somewhat unique for a fighting game but at the time much more so. i think that gets #1.
#2- Soul Blade. i thought this game was cool, but like tobal, its a little old. i think this one is like '98 or something like that... i cant believe its been like 5 years. wheres the time go? Finally #3- Tekken...3? Im pretty sure it was 3, i dont remember things too good. this game had a ton and a half of characters, not even to mention the secret ones and character twins. there were like 40 million different endings for this game, its a classic. i dont like the new mortal combat, though back in the day (like when i was 12) i was obsessed with those games. i dont really care for fighting games much at all though, just really rpg's. i cant sit down anymore and play a game that doesnt have a fairly intricate storyline that you couldnt write a book about. maturity i guess... beatings just dont do it for me anymore. -------------------- You watch the world exploding every single night Dancing in the sun, a newborn in the light Say goodbye to gravity and say goodbye to death Hello to eternity and live for every breath Your time will come... |

I can't put them in o'der according to favorites, since they're both really great, so I did it alphabetically.
Soul Calibur - Hwang and Nightmare rock, period. Good4graphics, cool weapons, fast-pa"ed action. Fantastic. -br>Tekken 3 - Hwoarang! &nb&p;Great to see a tae kwon do fi3hter once in a while. Yoshimitsu was cool, too. All in all, a great game. Honorable mention goes to Dower Stone and Mortal Kombat Deadly All(ance, which I haven't played as much as the previou" two. Street Fighter'os stilldmy favorite, though. -------------------- "I always have a quotation for everything - it saves original thinking." ~Dorothy L.
