A premptive apology if there is already a thread on this topic, I tryed using the search feature, but it came up with a lot of things that had nothing to do with this.

Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed my mimes are able to hit characters at a differant rate then my other characters when they mimic.

Do mimic'd abilities cancel out a chance for evasion? (similar to concentrate is what im thinking, sort of like an Innate Concentrate or something?)

(Even if i have Abandon with a Feather Mantle and the best Sheild in the game on a Knight, my Mime is still able to hit them (from the front) !!!!)

I had wondered the same thing a while back and the BMG gave me the following:

Mime:

INNATE: Concentrate, Martial Arts, Monster Skill

Thanks Kane smile.gif

I had figured they must have Concentrate or something like it, Due to how they were able to hit my characters.

But Whoa! Monster Skill and Martial Arts?

Martial Arts isnt that hard to believe, given the fact mimes cant equip any weapons, but Monster Skill?

That seems rather random doesnt it?

eh.gif Is there any specific reasoning behind them having Innate Monster Skill? or is it just a Perk?

It doesn't surprise me considering the appearance of the female mimes. I actually like Monster Skill despite you have to be standing on an adjacent panel to the monster in order for it to be effective.

you have to be standing on an adjacent panel to the monster in order for it to be effective.

I noticed this aswell when equipping the ability on Dancers to give a Mindflare the "Level Blast Ability".

Although I think, it says "Friendly Monsters within a Range of 3" in the skill description wink.gif

They do look kind of werid huh? huh.gif

I think maybe it comes down to the fact that its a "Basic Skill" (And i dont mean literally, just in general) and you are required to get a level 8 in Squire, maybe its just the fact that youve spent so much time as a squire it just comes naturally to you as a mime. *shrug*
