i rekon out of them all it has to be mog because of his slam dances they are the best

Sabin. He's my strongest character, plus his Blitzes are awesome (Bum Rush almost makes me swing into convulsions with all the flashing though, lol).

Sabin i use him the most(hes so damn cool) and like neon said his blitzes are cool thats part of the reason i use him so much.

I Guess my best character would have to be Gogo. Cause This is my normal set up for her (Talking skills wise):

Mimic
Blitz
Magic
Throw

Thats the best combo in my opinion. She can totally destroy kefka by herself in the final battle (I did that B4)

I have to say "Sabin" as well, though Cyan is a close second. When it comes to magic, however, Terra's definitely the strongest magic-user I have. (I always used those espers who increase magical strenght or MP at a level up with her)

i think also its sabin it has to be its immense is a monster shredder also i think edgar is great but only near the begging of the game as his autocrossbow attack is amazing

Setzer is the best because of the fixed dice offring trick. Talk about pownage . the second would have to be Strago for his usefull lores.

Trick? I think I definitely missed something - again. (Ironically enough, I never used Setzer much, basically because I couldn't really handle the slot-attack thing.)

Well using slots is only ok if you give him the relic that alows him to throw GP he can do masive dammage earlier on in the game and you can't tell me that some one throwing cards and enemies isn't cool .

while gau is unquestionably the most "powerful" character in the game, i can't stand him, he has stupid equipment, and you have to scroll through a huge list every battle just to get him to attack. so i second setzer with the cheap dice.

I don't give any characters magicite anymore because it makes the game too easy

My best character is always Locke.. 7000+ MAX HP + Valiant Knife + Thief Gloves + Sneak Ring = Best Locke

My best character is definetely Sabin. Sabin has all the Magic attacks. 9999 HP, 999 MP, Merit Award and Hyper Wrist (Makes every attack have 9999), Tiger Fangs, Paladin Shield, (This took forever to get!), full Genji Armor. With Sabin alone, I beat Kefka. Terra is my second best. She has an econimizer, and a gem box. I just use Quick and do four Ultimas.

Setzer, because I equipped him with the Cursed Shield, so he is about a good 7 levels above everyone else.

The good, and at the same time bad, thing about this game is that everyone can learn all of the magic spells, and therefore they'll all use the same attacks. The characters start losing their distinctiveness towards the end of the game, making it hard to pick just one favourite character. Taking into account the whole story, though, I particularly like Celes with her high magic power and ability to use all of the good equipment. She's also the one who keeps my party together whenever I decide to torture myself by playing the C.E.S. challenge.

I usually end up with Terra and Shadow tieing as my best characters. Terra + Genji Glove + Paladin Shield + Morph = Death to All and Shadow + Offering + Marvel Shoes + High Magic Stat + Throw = Ninja Pwnage! Yeah, Shadow's my mage, along with Celes. Bite me.

Thing is, I don't really use magic all that often other than towards the end, where spamming everything is normal, nay, encouraged.

Celes is one of my best charcter in the game have given her almost every magic spell and best weapons relisc, armour in the game.

Second is Sabin, due to that I only use his Bum Rush in end a boss fight very quick and he have teh best offense in the game

Last, there is Gogo. I gave him Tools,Magic, and Blitz. He's a good character even though he can't use Epsers, which kinda suck.

You guys are all way off, its shadow fo sure. In the begining he can be invisible, and can become almost imposible to hit. not to mention his deadly weaponry, and his "throw" skill. Ninja Stars, Shrekins,And Tack stars all can do over 4000 damage, almost every time! Plus intercepter can deal an awsome physical counter, doing almost 2000, maybe more!plus... is Shadow!

In general, my best'd be Gau. Some of those rages, phew. By the end of the game, however, Cyan is probably second. With a lot of strength, two weapons and his final SwrdTech, he can deal excessive amounts of 'burst' damage, usually high enough to counteract the wait time. And when you pair these two up, the wait for SwrdTech is less glaring and annoying, as you're still doing absurd amounts of damage.

Anyone with the Valiant Knife, the Offering relic and quite a bit of HP is the best. Of course, Locke is the only one who doesn't need the Merit Award to equip that weapon.

I know I've been Final Fantasy XII too long - just the other day I referred to a region with no cell service as a Jagd!

All the characters are useful, but my favorite is Celes...I trained her since low level to become stronger, magical and and with around 50 speed, and 9999 HP and 999 MP. definitevely Celes. In second place is Setzer, because I can get anything in the Slot command , sometimes..plus he got speed 70, and got running shoes, so I have plenty of opportunities to get what I want with "Slot".

Always Celes. I usually upgrade her magic first. By the games end she has Bahamut. Usually a "hit" on Kefka.

Heavy-hitters are my party.

By the end of the game, I've beefed up Locke and have him adequetly equipped with the Atma Weapon, Valiant Knife, Genji Glove and Offering, so that he steps forward and whoops everything.

Also, if you time it right, anyone with a Genji Glove and the Offering in the same party as Cyan is quite beneficial. Give him some time to charge up.

My most powerful character usually is Celes or Terra, since I usually have them in my party the most. They're usually around level 40 to 50 when I beat the game, when most of my other characters are at a lower level.

I like umaro, not because hes good or anything but because he throws people at enemies.

Terra is my best right now at level 73 with the ragnorok sword. Which is amazing!
