First of all, the drops u get from monsters depends on the TIME the last monster dies, or the monster that is dropping the item u want.
ok, i was reading that thread on I Hate Pink Puffs, and i found the way to get it faster, but its easier if u use a save state, wat i did make everyone stand in this order from top to bottom, cain, cecil, rydia, edge, and rosa. this way rydia cant get berserked, i think.. neways, u wait till only one puff is alive, and make sure u can go on the screen wer u can choose a spell for rydia, and save state right there, from there u can speed up and count like 1 sec, and then choose yur spell and kill the last puff, and if u dont get go back to wer u saved and count for 2 sec, and if u dont get etc., i got it under 10 min trying this out, remember it doesnt matter how many u fight, but the time the last puff dies, this sux for those who dont use emulators....
or u can just state save hack

First off, the order of your party has no effect on their susceptability to spells.

Second, if you save state right before you kill a Pink Puff, and just keep replaying the same state over and over, you will never get a tail. Been there, done that. I tried that little trick for an hour with no luck. The items dropped by an enemy are determined at the beginning of the battle. So you would have to save state before the battle begins and re-fight the entire thing over and over, not just the end of it.

So if you don't have any advice other than some half thought out tactic that you probably just Googled, I'm done here.

no way man, it really works, everything depends on timing, i got a lot of rares doing this, and yea the way u place yur chars doesnt matter, but still, as long as u can save it on ne screen wer u get to choose item/spell/skill, and from there count u can eventually get it, just dont repeat the same timing, the timing also has to do with who gets hit from the monsters attacks, who will get affected by the monster's attacks, and all that. the items u get r not predetermined b4 u start the battle, u might not get the pink tail but u will notice that if u do this u might get ethers and other stuff everytime u do a different timing.
