Weird that I never posted in this thread when it was new, I thought I posted in EVERY thread that long ago.
I've got a ton of hobbies that ebb and flow through my life for no real good reason. The most constant of those has been playing soccer, though I'm not playing right now due to the baby and probably won't start up again until next spring. I currently play for an over-thirty men's team in my town, and sometimes play indoor with an all-ages coed team. The other constant one is developing websites, which I would imagine is quite obvious. Besides CoN, I still do websites for a handful of small businesses, mostly in places I once lived (Illinois, New York, Massachusetts). I used to shoot a lot, a lot of photos, but that tapered off significantly while I was living in Boston. Now that the baby's around, I am taking a lot more again but they're mainly of her, with less emphasis on being as artistic as I once was. For a while last year, I was big into crafts with acrylic beads. I made one big project last summer and then haven't made anything else at all, due to lack of supplies followed by everything else that's happened in my life since then. In my other spare time, I like to play video games (somewhat infrequently) and read. Groundbreaking stuff. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

I like to draw, do martial arts, drink good beer, play video games, make websites, and listen to audiobooks.

I like video games, ceramics, reading, drawing, manga/anime, music, creating epic stories in my mind then performing them while no one can see (much more fun than writing them, let me tell you), biology, physics, some chemistry, cooking, riding bikes, and playing soccer. Oh, also, the internet, internet scrabble, crosswords, finding new tea or energy drink flavors, collecting anything I might be able to sell for a profit when I'm old, painting, then lastly, my personal favorite, doing nothing and enjoying it.

I used to collect coins and rocks, although it was more about the historical/geological aspect than keeping things in mint condition. I still have that stuff in a teensy box (same box...echoing the mint condition point) on my shelf and periodically peruse it. After that, I started collecting basketball cards...I think that was around the '95-96 NBA season, when all the big-name rookies arrived on the scene -- Iverson, Kobe, and my fave, Marbury! By the time I got bored of collecting 'em, I'd gotten 50-odd Marbury cards...although nowadays, no one cares about Marbury. It was fun looking up their values in the Becketts and seeing whose cards would rise/fall.
In recent years, it's mostly been trying to find outlets for my writing. I did fanfiction stuff for awhile but burnt out pretty quickly. Even now, I'm always thinking of ways to get back into fanfiction, enough that I keep a file on weird phrases and ideas (and its getting ridiculously long). When fanfiction fell through, I turned to writing game FAQs, and that's kinda been my main "hobby" since '05 or thereabouts. I didn't set any goals, but the one milestone I'd like to hit is writing for all the Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle games -- now that's shooting for the moon. And...uh... *taps mic* Starbury rules! *runs* -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

I used to play Warhammer 40 000, before all the people I used to play with moved away or lost interest -.-
Other than that, reading and videogames. -------------------- Since I advertise CoN there I think it's only fair that I advertise The Wiki here. |
