Patch questions.

So, I was looking at all the nifty stuff in this site (I've already downloaded "Highly Experimental"), and I found all the FFVI Rom Hacks.
However...I do need help figuring out what exactly I need to do with them. I'm familiar with using WinPatch (I think that's what it's called), but this thing requires "SnesTool". And do I need an FFIIIus or FFVIj rom? Well, I'm confused, but I'm sure one of you can help me...  -------------------- |

Easy as pie. Just grab an IPS patcher, a clean copy of the ROM (if it says III, it's III; if it says VI, it's VI), and the IPS itself. Then, well, run the IPS patcher and patch the ROM with it.
