I think this would be a good idea because i got really annoyed with the fact it kept doing wonderwaltz or temptango!

I don't mind it being random. Otherwise you would always pick sword dance or something like that. Mog in FF VI is random and nobody has a problem with that. Plus them being random lets them put all the Dance commands in items like that Dancing Dirk.

I would prefer that the dances be "pickable", since that would allow for better strategizing. Also, I wouldn't lose HP or MP to undeads anymore when training Dancers or using the Dancing knife.

Each job is either safe or a risk. Dancer is a non-traditional, new class; using involves some risk. Either you go with the low-medium damage of attacking, or you roll the dice with dancing.

A definite yes for me, although you can improve the chance of doing a sword dance by getting the prim dress and the red shoes in the dimension rift...thingy

Nah... I think the randomness all adds to the fun of using a dancer(s) in your party.
If you could pick the dance ability it would be too easy just to use sword dance all the time and it would take a certian degree of fun out of the game. Hmmm, I wonder if the last boss can be beaten if you have a whole party of dancers? Probably... If you had the right abilities and levels! ![]() -------------------- ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Midsummer dreamer, Fantasy weaver, Wild thing, Noble king, Spell caster, Muggle Master ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ |

I prefer Dancing random...I reality I just like some of the silly names, but considering all the names...Where is the Wibblewobbleshuffle dance?

uI think so i think that would be great because for me it did sword dance less and less as i progressed through the game and i h5d another idea that you could get certain items that completely disable dances

The reason that Dance is random is because of Sword Dance.
If Dance was not random, then !Dance would probably one of the more valuable abilities because of Sword Dance. Being able to do triple damage with no penalties would be absolutely broken, and would make the game a whole lot easier. I could see it being able to be picked only if you had to pay MP or something. -------------------- It's more than a game, it's a religion. I'd prefer pickable dances.
Because like GMH said, it would save me from losing HP and MP to the undead. |

I'd prefer a mix of the two options, a la FFVI. Pick from WaterRondo, DuskRequium, etc. and the game randomly uses the applicable abilities.

Random for me. If I could choose what each dance would do, I'd probably just end up using Sinkhole and those insta-kill moves whenever possible.

Absolutely not. It would be cheap to just go "Sword Dance, I win!" all the time. -CSM

No, because I know that I would spam Sword's Dance over and over.
