Heh, methinks Concentrate would be a wee bit too powerful if it worked on all abilities. The descriptions does say your ATTACKS, so...

It can't be just attacks, though, I don't think. I've heard many places that Concentrate slightly improves the success rate of Steal, which is a skill.

I asked a similar question a bit ago-

Shotgunnova is probably the man to answer this one too.

Shotgunnova? I can answer that one too...
If the enemy is in your targeting doesn't mean you'll be sure to hit the target (talking about spears/rods/guns since they have a higher range than 1). It totally nullifies your enemies evasion factor, which means that shields, mantles, natural evade, weapons (with weapon guard), abandon, defend, and maybe some others that I can't recall will become useless against concentrate. This doesn't include blade grasp so you will still have a lot of trouble stealing the genji set & the masamune with that skill. Concentrate will only affect physical abilities.

In other words, the % to hit with speed break will be the same against a knight with a shield in front and on his back. Example if you normally 23% to hit him on front and 32% on the back, you will have 32% to hit on sides, back, and front. It only nullifies physical evasion that's all.

Ah just to let you know, there isn't any more useless skill than concentrate against tiamats/hydras/hyundras since they have 0% natural evasion rate (even if it's only agaisnt frontal attacks)... Looks like it's hard to evade attacks with 3 heads. Their strenght compensates at least. smile.gif

Edit: I may be wrong for magic evasion not being affected by concentrate, but I can't test right now (my PSX is at my friend's house and I used HIS PSX parts to repair mine; as a deal he can borrow it)

Nope, you're right, it only nullifies physical evade. Both Blade Grasp and Arrow Guard are unaffected (as if anyone uses Arrow Guard).

Unless you're insisting on a full team of Archers or something, I find it's usually more beneficial to pick a different support ability and just get behind the enemy.
