I was wondering why does it give you the Options to have an alternate goal to beat the battle?
Does it unlock something new? |

There are several battles where you have options, and mostly the effect is just that: having an alternate goal for the battle. Usually, it also comes with a change for every unit in your party in Brave (up or down, up or not or sometimes down or not, depending on the choice you make).
The increase is for the duration of the battle, but you can usually get a permanent increase in Brave from it: when you first meet Algus, if you choose to destroy the Death Corps, you get a +10 for the battle, which nets you a permanent +2 afterwards; you also don't have to care for Algus this way, so it's a win-all choice...except for scenario purposes. These choices also affect certain lines in story battles, and if you choose not to save Algus, he will bring it up in your encounter at the end of Chapter 1. |
