Not much on the creative stuff, eh?
Okay, so our school newspaper's comic sucks unimaginably, so I thought I'd send this to them. Hopefully, it is marginally better. Lineart only, since they don't print color. I had to rush the darned thing, so it isn't what I wanted... Three hours with a mouse in Photoshop. Yes, OUCH. This is a redesign of the wizard Anastasia from Bahamut Lagoon. Everything I draw seems to wind up related to Bahamut Lagoon these days... As for the...eyeball...bat...acorn floating above her, that'd be the dragon Muni-Muni dressed up as a, well, acorn, since it is a flying eyeball with bat wings. Yes, Bahamut Lagoon says it is a dragon. What do you think, and should I color this?  This post has been edited by Nepheliad on 1st November 2006 04:41 |

It's pretty nice and I'd like to see it colored.

Yeah, this is really great for simple mousework. Must have been a lot of tweaking involved there, heh. Definitely color it up and throw it back in the thread.

Not a fan of anime styles too much, but this one is okay. The broom's pole seems a little bent. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that?
 And I don't know it that's an ear or the jaw that is close to the hair. Doesn't look like a real jaw and if it's an ear it needs to be as high as the eyes are placed. Also it looks like she's wearing two different kinds of gloves. Please color it. |

I find it slightly weird that her toes turn inward, and that her pupils are a bit large (a la that one tribe of Naruto characters with large, light-colored pupils), but other than that, excellent work on your part. It seems, seriously, as if it were professionally done.

Ear placement is not atypical of the style (though I think the problem it that they seem to meld into the jaw line), and she's not wearing gloves. Kinda looks like she is, though! Very nice work. My favorite part is the front of her dress that hangs down. I love how you did the weaving crescent designs in there.

Just three hours in Photoshop?? It would have never been that fast for me; you really got a talent on your hands. I hope you plan on coloring it in the future because I would love to see it.

Nice coloring this time. I really liked the color contrast you've given her. You might want to brighten the lighter part of her black cloak a bit more. It still looks fade black.

Yeah, her eyes seem to look much more sensible when colored, somehow. I think it's the brightness contrast and mental perceptions of pupils.
