Possible spoilers: highlight to view right when the WOB becomes the WOR, is it helpful in any way to let cid live? -------------------- There are three things I cannot tolerate: cowerdice, bad haircuts, and military insurrection, and it is very unfortunate that our friend Vegeta posseses all three of these. |

Celes will just get all depressed and throw herself from a cliff. Then she decides everybody's alive, finds the raft, and sails off with destiny.

Its like a mini-game, one of the few in ffvi.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view If cid dies, she throws herself off a cliff. If cid lives, she's all happy and stuff. He's one of the two characters in the game where you can "kill" him if you don't like him, but by feeding him rotten fish than letting him fall with the continent. I don't know if it affects the ending though. I just let him live in the spirit of... well... i dont know... -------------------- Neneko is Neneko because Neneko couldn't be Neneko if Neneko wasn't Neneko! --as quoted from Neneko, Mahoraba {Heartful Days} I can stab a man with a thick paperback book thru the ribcage. |

I wonder what the decision-making process was that prevented you from having a few more characters in the party, particularly when the sprites were all made and the abilities could have been trivial. Cid is the obvious one - keep him alive, give him the already-coded 'summon' or something else simple, and give your game that much more color.
Or Banon, who was already a fully-made character, that just 'poof' disappears. Presumably dead in the fall, but without really any comment for it. General Leo's death, at least, is critical to the plot -------------------- I hear the jury's still out on...science. That's it, you people have stood in my way long enough! I'm going to clown college! |

Actually, I've never saved Cid. Never saw the point. I just killed him off so I had more time to do... stuff. Don't forget the Magicite you find on the beach later on though! Oh... I forgot what it's called.
