I got the recently released Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix for Christmas, and I have to say, I'm hooked.

I find it to be a fun, amusing game, that doubles as an awsome workout. It's also incrediably socialy attractive. When people see you dancing, they can't help but be curious.

The Mario theme just adds fun to it. There's nothing better than Jamming to your favorate Mario tune, and seeing the fat plummber himself break dancing all over your screen happy.gif

So here's my question to you! Have you tried Dance Dance Revolution? Whaddya think? And what kinds of Dance Dance themes would you like to see in the future?

I recently read a brilliant essay concerning DDR being the Matrix. You can't help but agree, and when that forum gets back up, I'll show anyone who's interested!

Personally, I think it's fun ^.^ I have no rhythm so it's a bit challenging, but fun. I've played a few rounds here and there.

I'll admit... I like DDR. Even as a fat guy, I enjoy a few rounds of DDR now and again. My nephew got a PS2 and DDR for Christmas, and I was actually starting to get kinda good at it. smile.gif

My wife even enjoys DDR, but we can't play it at our apartment. We live on the top floor, and have SCARY neighbors... Wouldn't want to upset them.....

I have DDR Extreme for ps2. I do like the game a lot, it never gets old. It is very tiring though, and hard, especially for a novice like me. pinch.gif

I'm not a DDR fan, but I like the idea of a game that gives someone a good physical workout. The last time I played anything that gave me actual excercise was some olympics game on the original NES.

I play DWI. Good freeware alternative, and it allows you to use your own songs.

Plus, despite being a PC game, you can still hook up a pad to your PC and use it, OR play with the keyboard and do some otherwise impossible songs (300 BPM accelerated to 9/5... biggrin.gif)

Know whats really funny? Play DDR next to your sleeping friends head, especially if s/he needs to wake up for something important

I do have the 2nd one for playstation, and my own pad. one reason why I dont play it however, is because I have a cruddy pad.

Eh... I can't dance. Won't bother trying.

My friend has it, and I was on it for about an hour. And the best I got was a D. On Easy Level.

Mario Mix does look like fun though. smile.gif

I LOVE DDR. Ever since I went on that cruise and they had DDR on their deck with an arcade, I was addicted. That game is fun and good for your body. In your face Florida senator that hates games!

Luna: You don't really need to know how to dance, you just need to have a complete lack of self-awareness.

Barrylocke: It's Senator Joe Liberman (D-Conneticut)

I don't like DDR. I tried it a couple of years ago. I'm too self-coinscious to ever try it again. It looks like it might be cool, but with almost everything, it's much more cooler to watch then actually try. There's nothing funnier then watching nerd of all shapes and sizes playing DDR, except if they try it on the dance floor. Your experience may vary.
