I nullified my vo e, because I think the hardest boss was actually the four seal guardians in the Moore/Mua Fores`.  Dang, those guys took a lot of work.

I believe the 4 sea=ed guardians were the hardest as well. That is one of the few f(ghts I actually needed strategy.

I nulled my vote...I'm confused too.

I flew past all the bosses of the game really.  Exdeath (in every battle) was easy compared to some other villians.  Zeromus comes to mind...it took me 8 years to beat that sucker!

FF5 was really disappointing in my taste.  The challengeless bosses were a point in that debate.

Tip:For exdeath (final encounter)  level up till about 42 and unjobify. Equip X-fight, Coin toss, the legendary weapons.  (Masamune is awesome, use it!!)  If you're like me you're specialized.  Here is what is was last time I played.

Butz-Heavy duty fighter.  Mastered Knight, Beserker, Dragoon, etc. (can't remember all of them now!)

Lenna-Medium fighter.  Mastered Ninja, Dragoon, monk, etc.

Cara-MAGE!  mastered About every mage except Red.

Faris-ability chick. had 41 abilities.  Masteed bard, dancer, some magic (didn't master -_- )  monster trainer etc.

I think the prob is that people don't master and go hoppin' around.  Masterin stuff gives you abilities, but also adds to Normal's stats.

I nulled my vote because I pretty much just breezed through everything. The closest to difficult boss battle I had was with Siren, mostly because of that whole "you-had-to-start-killing-her-over-every-time-she-changed" thing, but it was still fairly easy.
The most difficult battle I had was a random encounter in Butz/Bartz's World 1 (There are too many ways to put that!)

I nulled my vote. The hardest boss I've beaten was GilTurtle, that random boss battle at the cavern only accessible in Galuf's world. I had to act fast, use alot of Ice (I forgot.. Maybe it was fire) on all of my reflected Black Mages to beat that boss. And that just sucks you can't use !Giltoss to deal alot of damage to him; it'll do 0 damage!

Omega and ShinRyu were also quite hard, even though I never beat them. I died right in the beginning lol. =P

Ex-Death was hard as hell, atleast from what I remember. I haven't played nor seen this game in forever, so it's been awhile.

I haven't played this game for months but I think I remember Carbuncl being annoyingly hard. He was the only boss that came to mind as almost having driven me insane (note: he did NOT almost kill me though). I think he was the one with 4 versions of himself that kept sending magic at me and disabling me more than taking away HP. It was a LONG battle and took a LOT of magic and such if I recall correctly.

X-Death was a joke. I smacked him a few rounds and he went down crying like a little girl. Used some strategy against Shinryu with the dragon lances and he was dead in one round. What a loser. Omega took a little more work but he didn't kill any of my characters before I smacked him a good one.

Then again, by the time I fought these guys I had mastered every job for every one of my characters including Red Mage. XD Ahahaha. It definitely makes beating the crap out of things easier being able to get off two shots. Seriously. How long do you think X-Death will last when you have Ragnarok and Brave Blade on your fighter and the others are smacking him with 2 shots at a time of Holy and Flare? I might have used Excalibur and Masamune too, but I can't remember and I'm too lazy to check.

Muwahaha!

Carbuncle can be killed in a single strike if you have four mystic knights/sorcerors use a different third-tier elemental sword: bio, fire 3, ice 3, and bolt 3. Then have all three attack in a turn and Carbuncle SHOULD be weak against one of the elements, instantly eliminating him. I remember accidentally destroying him with Bio sword in my first swing and almost crying....I never knew magic sword could do that.
