So I happened to be looking at the FFVI page when I saw that they had music. Sweet! I think 'I love the FFVI music.' The music was as good as the last time I played, but I quickly noticed differences in the music. For example, in "Unforgiven", the flute is switched with a different instrument of some sort. The bigest difference I've noticed so far is in the Battle theme. It seems to be at a different note range completly. I love both versions of the songs, but I was wondering why. Was the version on this site from a soundtrack. Is it the PS version on anthology since it has better technology? huh.gif

The music on our FF6 music page is MIDI that has been sequenced by fans to mimic the original music. The sound of the instruments will depend on your media player or sound card, but will never sound exactly like the original.

The Final Fantasy VI Media Downloads page features an archive of SPC-format music. This is a direct rip from the SNES version of the game, and will sound much closer to the original, limited only by the emulation core used in whatever plugin or player you use to play it back.
