What are your top 10 favorite moments in final fantasy VI? They can be scenes, battles, diologue, anything!

I'VE HAD AN ETERNITY TO PONDER THE MEANING OF THINGS. AND NOW I HAVE AN ANSWER...

Mostly dialogue for me - I can't remember the lines verbatim, so I'm just doing the best that I can to remind you of which conversation it is.

7. Returners' hideout with Bannon - The moral of the story: when someone asks for help, refuse them a couple of times so that they'll give you better stuff.

Was it Edgar that said that? I was always under the impression it was the theif that fed the turtle that made that comment....

Sabin's scenario is so high quality when it comes to character developement and atmosphere. Later on the story takes over while killing the great character interaction seen early in the game.

In no particular order:
-Kefka's poisoning of [spoiler!]
-Leo vs. [spoiler!]
-Kefka displaces the [spoiler!] and kicks [spoiler!] off the Floating Continent
-finding the characters in the WoR
-Kefka's Tower (especially the bosses)
-the final battle (especially with Dancing Mad!!!)
-scenes involving a fight with Ultros (this excludes the "I'm a receptionist" scene because it doesn't include a battle <-- that was a disappointment)
-Terra's flashback
-going through Zozo
-the "Mr. Thou scene"

well i could put my top 10 but that would take to much thinking so here's #5

#5 - Opera (w/ Celes)
#4 - when Celes stabs Kefka on the floating continent
#3 - the cyan dream sequence, those 3 dream stooges amuse me (the little cowards.. lol)
#2 - the FF6 OMNISPOOF!!!! (i love all of it, with mature content can be gotten at zophar.net under the hacks section... just search omnispoof and it should be the only final fantasy 6 "omnispoof", it is absolutly hilarious {well to me anyway})
#1 - coin flip on the airship (when if you bring the brothers figaro along with you to get the airship, sabin spazzes at edgar)

~ A Hero Is Someone Who Stands When Their Legs Are Gone~

• Locke pairing up with the moogles in Narshe to defeat the guards.
• Locke and Celes outside of Albrook during the night
• Locke robbing and beating the crap out of people at South Figaro. That was hella awesome.
• Locke feeling seasick outside the Albrook Ship.
• Locke saving Celes from falling down in Kefka's tower in the end.
• Locke's scenes with Rachel was very touching.
• When Kefka's troops invade Narshe to get the frozen esper at the cliff.
• General Leo fighting Kefka and getting his ass beat.
• Sabin and Edgar's childhood past.
• Kefka's cowardness at the Camp near Doma.

Mostly Locke cuz he's the best.

Instead of ranking favourite stuff, I'll try and name some of the things that were memorable to me from the start of the game to the finish on my first playthrough over 10 years ago:

1. Realizing that this game played just like FFII, right down to the familiar menu interface, but was better (at the time I didn't know about FFV).
2. South Figaro town. The whole scene is very memorable to me for some reason, perhaps with the mix of melancholic music and the first taste of the evil empire.
3. The entire Sabin scenario, especially the Phantom Train.
4. Kicking Kefka's butt at Narshe.
5. Acquiring the first magicite and realizing that everyone can use magic.
6. Pressing A quickly, hopping that the Opera scene would go by faster. The Opera scene is memorable to me because I loved to hate it, even on my first playthrough.
7. The Devil's Lab!
8. Fighting the larger-than-life Atma Weapon, and the cool music during the battle.
9. Watching the world crumble in front of my very eyes thanks to the actions of some very stupid men.
10. The warm feeling that I spent my money wisely on an amazing, amazing game.
11. Taking over a month to finish it.

So there are my most memorable experiences from my first playthrough, which all come from the WoB. You could call them all favourite moments, I suppose, except for #6. I can't wait for FFVI Advance!

10. The vocalizations' spellings: U'gaaaa! Uwaoo~!! N'gaaah! Uwaaaa! G'ho!
9. "Gau find short cut!" - Gau just in general cracks me up.
8. Cyan rushing to hide his flowers when you find him on Mt. Zozo.
7. Sabin ordering dinner on the train. "Food! Food! Bring me everything you got!"
6. Sabin at the opera: "Huh? Why's everyone singing?"
5. Relm convincing "Uncle Ulty" to pose for a portrait.
4. The mini-scene when Locke and Edgar witness Terra's magic for the first time ("MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAGIC!")
3. Celes going nuts and running into the walls when she realizes that they want her to sing on stage.
2. Imperial to Locke in occupied South Figaro: "Scram, you blockhead."

and...

1. The old man/Returner sympathizer in Vector who jumps up and down and pretends to barf so that you can slip by the guards. Gonna... toss... it... all...

I wish I didn't know what would happen when I entered the floating island. You must have been so shocked to see the emperor assasinated and to actually witness the end of the world. Most games don't ever get that far....you beat the game before that happens!
