So the PSP is out and people have them. But for the games out there for the system, which one is the best.
I would have to say GTA ![]() ![]() -------------------- The road to Stupid is paved with good intentions. |

I have played my friend Steve's PSP pretty extensively, and while he is a huge fan of the most recent GTA game, the only PSP games that I really enjoyed were Lumines (pure excellence for a puzzle game) and Darkstalkers Chronicle (rather excellent 2D fighter for a handheld). The PSP had a pretty strong launch (certainly stronger than the DS's), but they've had an otherwise very lackluster 2005 (certainly weaker than the DS's). Let's hope that Liberty City Stories and Burnout Legends make some noise, for Sony's sake.

It'll be a rough old scrap between Lumines, Tenchu Shinobi Taizen, and Winning Eleven 9.
Being as cynical as possible, Lumines could have even more skins ands sounds, and unlocks could've been random to extend the life of Challenge Mode, Winning Eleven could've done with Master League mode, heck, scrap all other game types just to give us portable Master League will you! Tenchu is left standing, with suprise features like level editor and unlockables by the bucketload. I say Tenchu. -------------------- Whether you take the doughnut hole as a blank space or as an entity unto itself is a purely metaphysical question and does not affect the taste of the doughnut one bit. http://slightly-bitter.blog.co.uk |

I like Lumines. The music and puzzle action is very fun indeed. The Burnout game is pretty good too.

If you have friends with this game, get Untold Legends. It can be a pretty fun multiplayer.
I haven't played Lumines, but i want to. really badly. ![]() Coded arms is also pretty fun, but extremely short. Controls may take some getting used to. Careful if you get emulators. The framerate on the SNES games are pretty messed up and make gameplay aggravating -------------------- Neneko is Neneko because Neneko couldn't be Neneko if Neneko wasn't Neneko! --as quoted from Neneko, Mahoraba {Heartful Days} I can stab a man with a thick paperback book thru the ribcage. |

Although I am most disappointed with the PSP, I did enjoy Lumines. Because it was made by the same guy who made Meteos, it is easy to see why it is so ingenius.
I think what the PSP needs to get back in the game (honestly, when it comes to games, the PSP is MILES behind the DS) is to get some originality. So far, all it has is ports. Lumines is the only quality game that isnt just a port. It's a damn shame, too, because the PSP has so much potential. I really hope that developers use the platform for some original games. If games like Trauma Center and Phoenix Wright are any indication, this industry needs some more innovation. Thank God for the Revolution. If it means anything, I am looking forward to the Megaman Legends PSP game. I hope it'll be a new game, not just an update of the original two games. That's one series I sure do miss..... -------------------- "Dance, water, dance!" -Demyx, Kingdom Hearts II "I met my love before I was born..." -AFI, 'Love Like Winter' from 'Decemberunderground' Currently Playing: Guitar Hero, Shadow of the Colossus |
