Whatever happened to the Cyberveldt?

Does anyone remember a little gem called FFVI: Expert Version 2?

I was playing the game for a while, but had to take a hiatus for my more important schoolwork. It seems my absence has been rather long, as www.cyberveldt.com is out of commission.

Can anyone please enlighten me as to what has happened as of late to i90east's wonderful page?

On a related note, what's happened to our beloved i90east?

As a sidenote, is he still developing FFVI EV3?

He hasn't posted since August, and last I heard he was getting pretty immersed in FFXI. Hopefully not too immersed.

Dunno why his site would be down, though.

He was in chat the other day. What happened was indeed FFXI, and no, he has not done any work on FFVI hacking. Somebody asked as I recall smile.gif.

Okay, I was rather unsure. Geez, I didn't realize FFXI is that immersive. I guess I just don't have time for that kind of thing so I really can't relate. I hope at some point in the future, his site comes back up, because that was quite the insipiration to hacking the game.

I have at times been pretty immersed in FFXI. I think I played for like 10 hours straight once.

OK, so if i90 wants to talk about this, he's welcome to post here. But I'm pretty sure we don't need this to be a discussion about FFXI.

Yes, after all, this is a discussion of the Cyberveldt, or what it was, anyhow. In Expert Version 2, I am about on my way to the floating continent, and have started using a character that I never thought would be so powerful... Gau!

Perhaps people can share their Expert Version 2 stories (most likely of the angry kind due to the difficulty) until i90east discovers this topic and enlightens us.

If you want to share your stories about Expert Version 2 then fine, but you should make a new topic. Please keep to the original topic relating to why the CyberVeldt is down.

Now, then... what has everyone missed the most out of the CyberVeldt?

I missed all the different hacking information the site had. I was in the middle of a text hack of my own for a while, before I decided to check up on the site again. I know I can continue on with the hack, but I still feel rather annoyed that the resource I came to enjoy is currently MIA.

I also enjoyed the information and hints about Expert Version 2. For a first timer, it's good to know exactly what's going on, especially the new changes to the Colliseum list.

I've finished EV 2 so I was checking back every so often to see the progress on EV 3..I only found out tonight that the site is down. Some of the information is still available at archive.org (URL http://web.archive.org/web/20040929052014/...cyberveldt.com/)

That should help anyone trying to finish it off, though what I'll miss the most is the forum for talking specifically about EV 2 and the gameplay along with any bugs we happened to discover and how to work around them.

Thank you so much for the link. Since I have some free time, I might finish the hack off soon.

The Colliseum list is especially helpful.
