That's actually a pretty well known site in the world of video game music fans, but I imagine those who haven't heard of it may appreciate the link.
What should be pointed out to those not aware is that all the songs are in MIDI format, so there're no legal issues. It may sound discouraging what with 'em being amateur recreations and rearrangements 'n all, but quite a few contributors have some awesome and fairly accurate stuff up there. I haven't stopped by the place in several months, but the collection's quite massive. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. I prefer by far SPC(SNES format) & PSF(Playstation format) since it's the best quality out there. Suprinsingly enough, it's even smaller than midis.
And it's not everyone that will hear the same thing from MIDIs on different sound cards. My computers plays it so badly that I can't even recognize any part in it. Zophar's Domain for me all the way! This post has been edited by Zodiac on 27th November 2005 12:32 -------------------- Sayonara |

Yea I like the site, used it to download the Zero-Wing music (All-Your-Base, remember?)
But there was a mini-website where I downloaded several hours of MIDI-format FF music. Can't remember what the URL is though, I found it thru Google search. -------------------- Neneko is Neneko because Neneko couldn't be Neneko if Neneko wasn't Neneko! --as quoted from Neneko, Mahoraba {Heartful Days} I can stab a man with a thick paperback book thru the ribcage. |

In addition to VG Mix, I also like to go to http://remix.overclocked.org (OverClocked ReMix) for the music that they have posted there. I've found that while VG Mix and OverClocked do have some of the same music posted, a lot of times one site has one, and the other doesn't. I'm a big video game remixes fan, so I go to both sites quite a bit (even though I don't know the first thing about remixing!).
Edit Oh heck, I thought you said VG Mix, not VG Music, my bad. Well in any case, check the above link and VG Mix ( http://www.vgmix.com ) for video game remixes. Unlike Kame, I'm more of a fan of original videogame music, but unfortunately, MIDIs are user-created, which means that they're often inaccurate (try comparing them to NES or GB music, for example).
I personally use Zophar for almost all my VG music needs. The only exception is for Capcom Q-sound archives and player, which I got through digging around the PSF main site and later on Google. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. What about Michael Huang's site ( http://www.fantasyreborn.com )? Stuff to equal Uematsu's piano collections, there.

Since this is strictly game-related, it's probably better suited to General Gaming.

VGmusic is really great! I'm now addicted to the Esto Gaza music from FFIX. Some of the songs are inaccurate and bum notes are something that REALLY bug me but the majority of music on there is cool.
