I've been to everywhere i can go...but I just never see one! Is there only one place to invite them....where have youi seen some.......or am I just unlucky?

I'm pretty sure you battle some at Nelveska temple
that would be your best bet

also at higher levels I've found some randomely on my way to goug machinne city, at the hill

As far as story battle, they only appear in one, but it's part of the last string of battles so it's useless for poaching (which I assume is your goal). You can get their little brothers, Hyudras, from the story battle at Nelveska Temple, which I your only sure way of getting one in a battle.

The best way to get one (or more) is still to invite any Hyudra type monster and breed from it. But for that, if you beat Nelveska Temple, you'll have to rely on random encounters.

All other occurences are during Rare battles at specific locations, generally with a good deal of other nasty creatures like Dragons and Behemoths. Of the top of my head, I can list these locations, but there are probably more: Bariaus Hill (the rare battle features you and a couple of monsters against a party of big meanies... good luck), VOYAGE (in the Deep Dungeon, again a party of big meanies, but easy to deal with a good Calculator as they tend to group themselves on the same height) and END (big crowd of Hyudras and Hydras there, along with Dragons and sometimes Tiamat...scary). Like I said, there's probably more locations, but I'm sure others can dig them up.

Thanks, I don't want to poach them, though I eventually will anyway. I just like 'em and wanted a Tiamat or somthing in my party

U can find hydras at deep dungeon,but they are on the lower levels of the dungeon though.

I tihnk im gonna get one while im trying to get those good items at nelveska temple (spell?)

im also trying to get a dragon, but ive only seen them around Finath River.....in my attempt to get one, i got a Uribo!!! he bred a Porky!!! YAY!
