XD I am such a ball of quirkiness.
-I constantly do that cheesey, pointing index finger/click-noise/fake grin/wink move, because it's funny and it means I don't understand whatever I just heard. -I love Taco Bell more than many things ![]() -I'm a grammar freak. Typos are a turnoff ^.~ -I constantly ponder the question "What would we do if all the canopeners in the world dissapeared?" I mean, really. I don't even know, would we claim someone stole them or just that they've all gone missing as part of a hoax? Who would take the blame? It frazzles me to think of it! -My way of getting out of a losing arguement is to say, "Yeah, well, nobody likes you." -I use bizarre words to subsitute the little ones, like instead of "crazily," I'll say "profusely" ^.^ -------------------- You're telling me that there's no hope. I'm telling you you're wrong. |

Many of my personality traits are well known to those who have conversed with me on a regular basis in CoN chat. Obviously, more apparent should you know me in real life.
-I'm without a doubt Subway's best customer. On a regualr week, I probably eat at Subway about 4 times a week. But not every week is a regular week, meaning I may eat there more or less times a week. The most Subway I had in one week was 7 times in the span of 6 days. What can I say? I love their stuff. And so much variety. Subway's the only food chain I would gladly drive upward of about 40 miles for. (Well, that and Arby's, though I couldn't have Arby's as much as I do Subway). -I am keeper of the sacred phrases "I like rice" and "Never trust a muffin". (Inside jokes) -In my book, there is "good music", and then there's "g00d music". The latter is the better of the two. -One thing that seems to annoy everyone is that I correct everyone's grammar and spelling EXCEPT my own. -I keep a list of all the funny, cool, and weird names. I try to limit the number of foreign people, because otherwise I would have a bunch of Japanese people on my list (no offense meant by that statement). Most of the names come from sports. Some of the names on my list are Mike Heimerdinger (offensive coordinator for the Jets), Chris Fu'amatu-Ma'afala (former Pittsburgh running back), Mark Grudzielanek (Cardinals second baseman), Englebert Humperdink (70s singer), along with a lot others. -I'm addicted to two drinks, and ironically neither of them is alcohol: Gatorade and Mountain Dew. Doesn't matter the flavors in the respective drinks, I'll take them all. -I swear excessively, though I've been trying to cut that out for the past month. -I quote excessively as well, but that I do not try to cut out. If I know a quote from a song, a movie, a tv show that goes to the situation, I will use it. This also annoys my friends a bit, especially if I use like 4 or 5 in a row. I'm sure there's more, but meh ... Edit Oh yeah, I'm also a statistics nerd, which is probably one of the reason I like sports so much. My statisticianism goes so deep that since 2003, I keep track of all the CDs I listen to everyday, separating the total by month and year. - In games, during boss battles, my hands tend to shake if i've never got that far before. That also happened when i used to play Goldeneye with low health. The Control level was a bad place for me.
- I constantly forget what i was doing or going to do. I then spend a while trying to remember. - I get distracted to easily, which may be the cause of the previous. Edit - if i pick up a game i haven't played in ages, i can still remember most of the tunes, and i then start humming them. This post has been edited by footbigmike on 20th October 2005 13:41 |

Quote (Shotgunnova @ 19th October 2005 18:51) I say Old West sayings, like "I reckon," "Pardon?" and "ma'am", which people don't really seem to like. Those ain't "Old West." They're "current South." I was raised to address women who were older than myself as "ma'am", almost everyone I know says "pardon?", and my father is quite fond of speaking like a Texan with things like "I reckon" and "I'm gonna suss it out." I can't stand to leave my stuffed animals on the floor. They have to be on the bed (or couch, or something) and in an upright position, so they don't look like nobody loves them. I rewrite every single homework assignment I turn in just to make it neater. I can't stand to continue writing on a page that's wrinkled or messy. I'd rather start something over than fix it in a messy way. This is the only aspect of my life in which neatness ever comes up, and I think it comes from my dad throwing away my homework if it wasn't neat when I was younger. -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

Hey, this is a funny thread. I have some quirks of my own to share.
I tease my little sisters for the fun of it, which they are now quite accustomed to, and which also let them into having a strong and refined sense of humour (I'm very proud). I never make my bed on sundays, and usually end up showering around 7PM if I don't plan on leaving the house. I don't get angry at all now, my total count (confirmed by friends and family) being of three times in my 26 years of services to society, all three having happened before my 16th birthday. My alarm clock is set 15 minutes ahead of standard time, originally so that I wouldn't be late to school/work, but I usually take 15 minutes to get up anyway... I can sleep wherever I want, meaning that I fall asleep in cars, trains, college amphitheaters, subways, even sometimes standing up (speaking of sleeping habits, my dad is used to sleeping in churches, for small amounts of time, never exceeding an hour. He's not christian, so he usually goes there for that purpose ![]() I don't buy clothes for myself more than twice a year, and some years none, because I loathe shopping for myself. Almost my entire wardrobe is made out of gifts from parents and relatives. However, I really enjoy shopping with other people, preferably girls. That's it. More later perhaps... |

Hehe, I do things like this, too! Except I take things people say and see if they're divisible by two, four, etc.! I think it branched off from me counting the yellow highway dotted lines somehow, but that's delving quite a bit into my weirdness, so I'd rather not know where it stems from. ![]() -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

Heh, I've got a few.
My feet. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's having warm feet. As such I tend to go barefoot around the house, and am completely unable to sleep with my feet under the covers. The way I mimic expressions and phrases as I read. For example if 'Ron gave a non-commital jerk of the head,' then I can't keep reading until I'm satisfied that I've got down the action satisfactorily. The worst, however, is that despite how disorganized I am, I'm probably slightly obsessive-compulsive. I have a strict routine in the morning starting as soon as I wake up, for one, but most amusingly, I used to visit my friend at his work and would end up getting paid because I'd go around straigtening/ordering all the little knick-knacks as I talked to him, making sure everthing was symmetrical and stuff. Also, as a kid, I used to hate it if a cartoon character dug a hole in the ground because it made everything look untidy. Again, it's odd, because you should see my bedroom. |

I cannot stand still. I don't mean like fidgeting in a seat or something, I can SIT still just fine. But when I'm standing up, I'll rock back and forth no matter what. And then I'll realize that I do it, and I'll try to just stand there and it's creepy.
When I get to a really dramatic moment in an RPGs (other games too, but RPGs are usually the most dramatic, regardless of actual difficulty), I'll start shivering. The biggest time this happened was the fight with Magus in CT, after I went through his entire castle in one sitting. When the battle music kicked in (and he started casting the high-damage spells), I could barely hit the buttons my hands were shaking so much. I beat him on the first try, but BARELY. A really weird thing is how my memory works. I guess you can say it's by... association. I can't even remember things from when I was 7 or so, but (here's an example) I was watching this episode of "Hey, Arnold!" two years ago or so, and I remembered another time when I watched that same episode. I could remember playing... Flea Circus, a fun little puzzle game on some website. Can't remember. Also, the movie "Farm Show" (a really great musical) triggers a memory of me watching that same movie on TV while playing Yoshi's Island on an SNES emulator. I can even remember an EXACT location in a level that I must've played while watching (can't remember the level number, but I know which one it was in my head). It works the other way around, too. Whenever I reach that level in one of my MANY replays of that game, I remember the movie. The weirdest thing is that it only happens with the most INSIGNIFICANT of things. I also remember almost every tune from every videogame, if I'm playing the game at the time. I may not be able to hum it off the top of my head, but right before I get to an area in a replay, I'll rember the music of the area I'm about to enter. -------------------- The island bathes in the sun's bright rays Distant hills wear a shroud of grey A lonely breeze whispers in the trees Sole witness to history ICO-You were there- |

- Riding, not driving, in cars puts me right to sleep. It could be noon and I could be on a sugar rush. As soon as I get in that car, 10 minutes later I'm asleep.
- When I sit in class, I think of all the ways a CT team could take control of a room. I also think of all the ways pyschopaths could take control of the school. - I know a bunch of useless information, and I look useless stuff up online. Stuff that would be asked on Jeopardy. Haha. Ths self-criticism thread. Awesome. And away I go:
I sweat way too much doing things that shouldn't make me sweat...like Math homework. I go through 2-3 pairs of socks and 2-3 shirts on average per day. It's that bad. And that's without an physical exertion. If I'm playing tennis, forget about it; that shirt's toast. I get really really obsessed with some things for a short period of time and then lose all (or most) interest in it. Like, last year I went through a pi-memorization period for like 2 months and got 787 digits memorized by heart, but then I stopped for like 3 months and forgot all but like the first 200... I never eat breakfast in the morning, but late at night I really crave breakfast foods, e.g. waffles, cereal, oatmeal, eggs. Weird, huh? I get bored of things that are too easy for me very quickly, and I find ways to make it interesting.. Such is my Math class this year. I have a 102.2 average; it's too easy, so I decided to do all my homework as small of humanly possible (or as small as my pen allows). I have successfully completed all the homework assigned to me since September 15th on half of the front of a sheet of paper, showing all work and formulae. ![]() I sometimes accidentally translate into Latin when I'm taking notes, sicne it's quicker. I handed in an essay once that took off into Latin mid-sentence and didn't go back for a few lines. That was interesting. Same with Math, except I sometimes accidentally solve the question before I'm done writing the example down. I can't really think of too many more, but every time I take a step with my left foot, my left ankle cracks. It doesn't hurt or anything, and I walk perfectly fine, but it's just a weird feeling. Oh, and people walking near me sorta wonder what the cracking is. -------------------- Is PJ |

Oh man, I've got some myself...
-I listen to music CONSTANTLY, especially if I'm going anywhere. So, when I'm listening to said music, I'm mouthing the words, sort of like Elena. Only, I tend to airdrum and air-guitar while I do so, alternating between the two depending on if I like the guitar or drum part more. I also tend to start movin' my head around so my hair flies around a bit. I do this a lot. In public. It's great for getting stares. - Every single time I'm about to shake someone's hand, I have this weird habit of pushing my thumb against the side of my nose so that my nose sort of jiggles back to place and then reach for the hand with that same hand. Every time. - I can't walk a straight line for very long. I'll start doing weird things with my feet, shuffling around, skipping, hopping, leaning off to the sides, anything. I'm a walking musical, without any actual dancing skills. - When I get excited, I speak loudly and slurr my words, making it kind of hard to understand what I'm saying. It also makes the slight lysp I have much more apparent. - Like most people who come from italian backgrounds, my hands talk for me. For every word I speak, it comes with some extravagent hand gesture, arm waving or something along the like. -------------------- Okay, but there was a goat! |

I have far too many quirks to count
First off... 1) I'm OCD, I do everything in fours and things must be symmetrical. 2) I quote everyone/everything. "Sweet Fancy Moses", "It's like a koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain", "Oh, Peter you're what the Spaniards call EL TERRIBLE", "He didn't fall, inconceivable", "That kid again" |
