I just ordered Guild Wars [PC]. I like RPGs. I like Adventure/RPGs. I like the Internet. I don't like monthy subs. I like hawt Necromancer chicks. Should be tasty. It seems Guild Wars has the 'love it or hate it' factor, I was a massive fan of Anarchy Online, and these two have their simalarities. At least, the things that hooked me into AO (and FFXI infact) seem evident in GW. For instance, lag-free yet beautifull surroundings, and well... Lag-free yet beautifull surroundings. Also, a very simple skill system with great customization.
I also went all out and got the Bleach mangas, Volumes 1 through to 9, which is every available volume outside of Japan. Based on the strength of like, episode 1 and 2 of the Anime. What can I say, it was certainly attention grabbing stuff that left me wanting more. Great art, good characters, one of those stories that instantly makes you want to watch more and more. I hope the books are as good. -------------------- Whether you take the doughnut hole as a blank space or as an entity unto itself is a purely metaphysical question and does not affect the taste of the doughnut one bit. http://slightly-bitter.blog.co.uk |

I picked up 'Beyond Good & Evil' on a whim for the Ps2 yesterday for only £7.99. From what I've played, it seems like a solid, enjoyable and varied game, with a strong plot and colourful characters.

I picked up Star Wars Battlefront II the other day since I loved the first game, but still haven't gotten around to playing any of it yet. I had a PS2 game coupon from a recent ad, and a friend of mine's younger brother who works at a game shop used his store discount to lower the price for me, so together I got to pay about $8 less than the sale price.

Also bought Star Wars Battlefront II, pretty fun.
Also bought Stella Deus, a curiousity in the Strategy RPG genre. Great artwork and all, but the story and voicework are the must dull things I've ever laid eyes on. But I'm going to keep it anyway. (lost interet about 15 hours in) This game has RARE written all over it, like Legend of Mana rare. -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M. Last game I bought was Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for DS. Top screen as map = awesome. Last 'thing' I bought was a sub from Subway. And it was gooooood.

I recently traded in some old crappy PS1 games and amazingly got the $40 it took to buy Suikoden Tactics. I have yet to start playing because I'm waiting for my brother to finish Suikoden IV so I can have his save data to use because I stupidly erased mine to make room on my memory card.

I've been messing with Gun and Buzz! The Music Quiz for the PS2, as they came with my new slim console. I like Gun alot more than Edge Magazine, who gave it like, 5/10, although the annoyance of a world seemingly unaware of player action is well founded. For me that doesn't distract from the sheer hilarty of high-octane horse-back six-shootin'. Buzz! is well, Buzz!, a wholesome family game that just misses the mark. I'll still invest in the General Knowledge and Movie discs if released, it does just about enough, especially with four players.

I brought a GameCube with Fire Emblem to go with it just before Christmas. I have the Legend of Zelda promo pack coming in the post also, which has the GCN versions of Ocarina and Majora's Mask. W00t, and all that jazz. Now just have to sit tight for Twilight Princess.

Damn I must look a Video Game fiend, always bumping this, but I'm getting so bored waiting for the damn guy to send out my Zelda Collection disc, I went ahead and ordered Wind Waker (GCN) and Animal Crossing.

I want Shadow of the Colossus but it will be a while yet before it is released here for some reason...
Recent game purchases are Unreal Tournament 2004 and Resident Evil 4. Both are very good fun of course. ![]() -------------------- 'Let that be a lesson to all oppressive vegetable sellers.' |

I've got Bleach #10 ordered so I have all the ones published here so far. I also ordered Mario Kart: Double Dash for me GCN. Following a little test I must do, I might well order UT2k4 too.

I pretty much tore in to and finished my Christmas gaming haul fairly quickly, and right at the end of the break I bought Shadow of the Colossus new and La Pucelle: Tactics used. I won't be able to pay either of them unless I'm at home (probably one weekend a month or so), but I can live with that.

Went to wal-mart (closest place where I can buy electronic stuffs is 30 minutes away from where I live) and a small store called Players Kingdom saturday. I got Golden Sun for the GBA and I pitched in with my friends to purchase Guitar Hero.
Ironically I just got myself involved with Star Ocean 2, and the purpouse of my trip to the stores was to buy a new Super Nintendo and World of Warcraft, as well as a birthday present for a friend of mine (needless to say, both purpouses failed. I bought neither, as they were all out of SNES and forgot to buy WoW). -------------------- Neneko is Neneko because Neneko couldn't be Neneko if Neneko wasn't Neneko! --as quoted from Neneko, Mahoraba {Heartful Days} I can stab a man with a thick paperback book thru the ribcage. |

Anyone who knows me has an idea that I'm a fan of western-type games, so it wouldn't come as a surprise that I purchased Wild ARMs 4. Unfortunately, I left my plug-in cord in my brother's PS2 I bought him over Christmas, and I haven't been able to play it yet. Don't suppose anyone can hype it up for me or anything (PM)?

Being the consumer whore that I am, it took me all of six days to break the promise I made to myself to not buy any video games over the semester. I found a special deal at the Gamestop here in Charlottesville selling Lunar: SSS Complete and Lunar: EBC for the PS1 for $50, when the two games would normally cost $65. I have been meaning to get those two games for at least three years, and I'm unwilling to do too much online shopping, so I decided to not let this opportunity pass up. Now I only have three games left on my list to complete my PS1 RPG collection.

i bought the ffX strategy guide (it's pretty!), and bought radiata stories. i like it so far, some of the dialogue is funny! (it was also made by tri-ace, which i should have figured. i mean, 175 playable characters! )
i also reserved kingdom hearts II. all of this should keep me busy for at least half a year... *drools*.. -------------------- |

I have played Shadow of Colosus (Ico 2) for a few hours and so far it is amazing! Brilliant stuff! Anyone seeing this would be impressed and most likely amazed for so many reasons. There is no game like this.
And no one could call it mindless action, well they could but they'd be wrong. It's not particularly hard but it is fun working out how to defeat each of the huge monstrosities. It does take some thought. And the landscapes you travel round on your horse are fantastic. I recommend everyone check it out. Great stuff. Though not sure how long it will last... -------------------- 'Let that be a lesson to all oppressive vegetable sellers.' |

Enrique, can you PM me about Harvest moon? How much have you played and what is it like?
footbigmike, WOW!!! That's a gem! Where did you find such an amazing thing? As for me, err... I'll only mention a few, as me and my sister have a "must buy" addicition whenever we go out. I look at games and think hmm... I might get that later, and she nabs it and buys about 5 or 6 games. Nutter. PC: Black and White 2 err.. I think that's it PS2 (fairly recent): Worms 4:Mayhem One Piece:Grand Battle (utterly fantastic! Get it if you like One Piece, but it is a good game in itself) GBA:(my sister, who is 19 btw) Noddy: Adventures in Toyland (???) DS: Mario Kart DS Ooh! If we're discussing books as well, then I bought One Piece 1-4 This post has been edited by Snowman on 26th February 2006 13:06 -------------------- The frosty one. |

Purchased Xbox 360 with Call Of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero.
Call Of Duty 2 = Very impressive, if they changed the gaming lobby on Xbox Live it would be a lot more enjoyable. Perfect Dark Zero = Unimpressive. I'm waiting for Elder Scrolls and Final Fantasy XI to come out, going to go back to my FFXI days. -------------------- "The only bad F-word is FCC." - Tom Morello |
