sadly....i am stuck at Archeoavis...the guardian of the earth crystal....do you guys have any advice to help me beat him? if you do thanks!

If you've got a couple of different elemental rods, just break them. I know he shifts weaknesses, but the ones that hit should offset the ones that heal him. If not, Aquarake is a great spell to have. Barring those two, make three Monks and a Blue Mage (preferably with !White) and just pummel him. When he revives, use Lv. 5 Death. If you don't have Lv. 5 Death, swap out the Blue Mage for a White Mage and just pummel/rodbreak the undead form.

yea im trying to level up right now...my party now is Knight (Bartz), Monk (Galuf though i cant see how a monk could work because it does like 12 dmg total tho i do get the critical hit thing), White Mage (Reina), Black Mage (Faris).....of course i am terribly under level... everyone is lvl 14 or 15.......i guess i'll train a geomancer now....cant you get aquarake in the desert by Karnak?

You can get it in the Ancient Library. One of the page's forms casts it. Make sure you have a level multiple of 5 though on someone with Learning.


The reason the monk does so little, is because you are VERY underleveled. Monk damage is based on STR and Level.


I know you put through alot to get through to archevois, but I would recommend leaving the temple, and leveling up quite a bit before comming back in. Archevois will be alot easier if you gain 5 levels or so. A good place to go level would be against black flames, on the small islands just north of Cresant Island. You can gain a few job levels in the proccess, and earn some good cash.

Not sure what you mean by island pointing up. I know there are a couple islands just south of Tycoon Castle, and north of cresant island. You'll know you are in the right place, because it is the ONLY battle you'll encounter. I believe it is a group of 5.

They aren't that hard. They are hard to hit, and hit for about 200ish (if I recall correctly), and have a sonic wave attack that reduces your level in half. I believe they level you up fairly quickly till mid to late 20's. If you are having trouble with them, go level up in the forest around Ancient Library till about 20ish, and that should help.

870 Gil per battle

I think it's 6 ABP per battle... something like that....
