Third Seymour...Mt. Gagazet, right?
Well, just to get this out of the way, he uses Banish to one-hit KO your aeons when you summon them, but you can still get an attack off before he does. That opening should be used to bombard him with overdrives, which means you have to come into battle will all of them full. Repeat that process until they're all dead (except Yojimbo, if you have him; it affects his Zanmoto capabilities). To be honest, that is probably the best boss strategy for early on, especially against ones that don't bolster as much HP as Monster Arena competitors. Hopefully, someone will give you an alternative strategy if you want, because I don't remember any other particulars of the battle except: 1) It's possible to reflect his Flare attack back at him to do 9999 damage. You have to cast Reflect as a certain moment, although I forget what tips you off to it. Keep an eye out for this one. 2) The Mortiochis (?) will absorb life from Seymour if you inflict enough damage. You can't kill it completely, but I seem to remember it taking larger and larger amounts of HP from that blue-coifed freak (^__^) 3) Rikku's Mix limit is great, particularly for Mighty Guard and its variants. 4) Cast reflect on people who get Zombified; you may cure Seymour a bit, but it's better than a dead character. As you know, even with haste(ga), you'll be getting less turns, and that Mortiochis' (?) Total Annihilation skill is a hard, hard hitter. Yeah, with any luck you may be able to cohere those tidbits into a formidable strategy. Sorry I can't give any other advice. =/ -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

There's a really simple strategy I used on my 2nd file, that totally crushed him. It would easily work for his 2nd form too, infact I think I do believe I used it all for that too.
Anyways..Cast Bio on Seymour himself, or get him poisened anyway possible. After that, focus ALL attack on the Mortibody. Bio will keep doing damage on Seymour, and having Mortibody constantly need to revive itself will drain Seymour even further. After that, I like to use Mega Flare from Bahamut. If it's the battle against Natus form, wait until he's below 10,000. For Flux, below 20,000. The nice thing..If you just do a strategy based on constantly having Seymour's HP be drained without attacked him directly they won't change "forms". As in you won't see the deadlier forms of attack from them. |

Make sure all your aeons are in overdrive before the battle. Since you only get one shot with each aeon, use it as soon as the battle begins OR, when you're in a tight spot.
Keep overdrive mode in stoic and unleash them whenever possible. If you have a weapon with double overdrive as an ability, use that. Apart from that, all you can do is raise your stats. Oaka is close so you have an infinite amount of potions and Holy Water(?) which i reccommend. I would advise using Tidus, Yuna and another character of your choice. If you've been playing Blitzball, Wakka's Attack Reels should rack up hefty amounts of damage. Overdrives for each character: Tidus: Blitz Ace or Slice and Dice. Yuna: Summon Auron: The one that acts like a full break (No.3) Kimahri: Depends on what you have Wakka: Attack Reels, or Element Reels. Lulu: Ultima or Flare. If not, you're highest magic spell Rikku: Mix. One of Rikku's mixes gives you haste, reflect, auto-life and another one, but i can't remember which combination of items. Sometimes however, it's up to luck. |
