Yes. They appear in a certain cave, along with a palette swap.

The "certain cave" is the Jacohl Cave, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not exactly sure why you would WANT to fight them, since they're one of the three easiest enemies in the game (Goblin, Bee, and Nut Eater, all of which can be found just outside of Tule village before the Torna Canal).

However, you may be thinking about Skull Eaters, the silver palette swap of Nut Eaters that GMH spoke of; they are also found in the Jacohl Cave.

Well, the NUT EATERS give me 199 ABP, that's why I wanna fight them!

I'm playing it via emulator!

Well, the FAQ that I have on my computer doesn't list ABP received from various enemies, but considering that Nut Eaters are that weak and appear that early in the game, I'd think that you'd be thinking of Skull Eaters, which are MUCH more powerful.

On the other hand, though, I remember them giving something like 5 or 10 ABP, NOWHERE near anything like 199 ABP. Nothing in the game gives that much, to my knowledge, or anything like it.

I have an active code that makes the NUT EATERS give you 199 ABP

PSSSST. E M U L A T O R, codes... I have an active code that makes the NUT EATERS give you 199 ABP, only when you fight 3 of them at a time! That way I can learn abilities MUCH faster, and I'm able to equip ANYTHING because characters are always straight!

There actually exists an enemy formation in the game that gives 198 APB normally, without the use of codes. I forgot where exactly it is, but I know it is somewhere in the late N-Zone. Anyways, the formation has a few Movers in it. That's the best place to learn skills.

Of course, like I said earlier, Nut Eaters can be found near Tule and in the Jacohl Cave, if you still insist on cheating.

- Skull Eaters give 5 ABP

- The 198 ABP monster formation is the triple Mover formation which can indeed by met in the N-Zone, most noticably in the room of the Save Point.
