I'd really appriciate it if anyone would help me find the Elemental Guns.

What I would like to know: What Chapter They Can Be Thieved, What Area They Can Be Picked Up (Move-Find Item), and any strategetic tips that I may need when going there.

chapter for, you will encounter Bulk in bed dessert. he's holding the blaze gun. you can find another in the 2ed fight with Beowolf's quest. the holder is a chemiest.
make sure you have good ice protection cause those guns shoot ice. for bulk, try to put him to sleep or lower his speed a bit. make sure you have a good theif with the steal ability.
for the chemiest, he's a bit easyer. ether stop, charm, or invite him to your party.
you can also find the guns in the deep dungeon on some of the floors.
this is all on chapter 4.

Aside from the two mandatory appearances in the battles that Mewmon cited (they respectively are Battle 38 and Battle 60 in our walkthrough), you can also find the set of elemental guns (Blaze, Glacier and Blast) in the Deep Dungeon, also during Chapter 4.

Not technically an elemental gun, I think it fair to tell you that the Stone gun can only be found by poaching a Dark Behemoth, which you can only get by breeding or during some specific random battles.

Finally, a good opportunity to get special guns is the rare battle at Germinas Peak, accessible when coming from Zarghidas Trade City, which features a set of chemists and mediators who can carry these four special guns.

But a summary is in order. Here it is.

Blaze Gun
Steal from: Balk (Battle 38); Chemist (Battle 60); Chemist/Mediator (Rare battle at Germinas Peak, by coming from the north)
Move-Found in: NOGIAS (Battle 65)
Not poachable.

Glacier Gun
Steal from: Chemist/Mediator (Rare battle at Germinas Peak, by coming from the north)
Move-Found in: NOGIAS (Battle 65)
Not poachable.

Blast Gun
Steal from: Balk (Battle 55, which is one of the final battle, meaning you can only have it when you're about to win the game); Chemist/Mediator (Rare battle at Germinas Peak, by coming from the north)
Move-Found in: TIGER (Battle 70)
Not poachable.

Stone Gun
Steal from: Chemist/Mediator (Rare battle at Germinas Peak, by coming from the north)
Can't be Move-Found.
Poach from: Dark Behemoth

Hope this helps, and don't hesitate to consult our FFT section in case you have other enquiries.

So are the other guns opposites of their titles too?

Like, as was said, and as I've seen, the 'Blaze Gun' (making me think 'hot') fires Ice or Ice 2. So does the 'Glacier Gun' fire... ummm... fire? Or bolt?

I think actually having a mediator and/or someone with talk skill has nothing to do with whether or not the "gun" battle is triggered. If I recall (if I'm wrong someone correct me), you simply need to approach from the correct side and then there is a random chance that you'll get that battle

You have to enter from Poeskas Lake, if I remember.

You must go through Germinas Peak in the storyline of the game. You do this while on your way to Limberry, looking for Alma. There is no other way yo approach Germinas Peak the first time except to come from Zeltenia castle. Poeskas Lake is the area visited immediately after Germinas Peak. Any party you enter Germias Peak with can get the gun from the tip of the mountain where the lead bandit is standing.

Some things are getting confused here. The "gun" Hamedo is refering to is in fact the Vanish Mantle (not a gun at all happy.gif). You can get it at any battle at Germinas Peak with Move Find Item at the location specified by Hamedo.

The party of five chemists/mediators is the rare battle at Germinas Peak, obtainable only by coming from Zarghidas Trade City (ie from the north). I don't know the odds of getting that battle, but I only ran into it a very small number of times, while I was using this spot to poach some monsters. My experience with it inclines me to say a 10% chance, but if you're lucky you might get it the first time you try... I'm pretty confident though when I say that your party doesn't change that odd in the least, since you get to form your party after the battle is decided.
