I just want to know a few things about this battle, if you can die here (I tried, but Cloud counterattacked ) , and where exactly this battle take place ( Cloud's mind, maybe??.. its the most probable, I think...) . I love this battle, ,is "the strongest vs. the strongest" , its a battle of wills, an epic moment of Final Fantasy, ...What do you think?

No, you can't lose the battle. If you don't use Omnislash, then you'll counterattack Sephiroth and he'll die in one shot. Storywise, it makes more sense to just use Omnislash since either way Sephiroth stumbles around like he got the snot knocked out of him (something that probably wouldn't happen with one regular attack).

I would say the battle takes place in Cloud's mind, or at least that it's a battle between the minds of Cloud and Sephiroth.

I agree with you that Cloud vs. Sephiroth, one-on-one, was an epic idea for the final battle. My only regret is that they made it a can't lose situation instead of a battle that you actually fight. That would have been much cooler. It's still a great scene, though.

It definetly would have made a nice scene cut. I kind of wish that Sephiroth would fight back to make it seem even more epic. The Omnislash is cool, but I think it would have been even cooler to see more of a final duel. Call me a sucker for classics, but it makes sense.

I remember the first time I saw this, I was like WHAT THE HELL? I tought I was gonna die definately. I didn't have the Omnislash back then, and when I saw that word in that red case I was like WHAT THE HELL? It was amazing!

BTW, have you guys noticed that when Sephiroth "EXPLODES" after Cloud omnislashes him Sephiroth's spirit energy is red, normaly it would be green spirit energy. Then spirit energy enters Cloud's body, both of them, GREEN and RED. Then the spirit energy comes out, but only green spirit energy leaves Cloud body, making me think that Sephiroth's spirit energy, remains inside Cloud!

I loved that "fight". I liked in a way that you cant lose it, as it is representing that although both physical bodies are battered and broken, the minds still remain... and Cloud has built his mind up to be stronger than Seph's in any way.

Basically the fight represents Cloud finally getting rid of Spehiroth by proving that his mind is better.

And it looks SO COOL!

Why is it that rpg's are now a dying breed?

Is it just me, or did it look like Cloud and Sephiroth's graphics BOTH look ENHANCED!? Seriously! Look at the colors of Cloud's shirt and look at the detail of his armor shoulder thingy. Even Sephiorth looked badass.. Yeah. I hated the idea of winning.. By the way, if your Cloud's HP is below 5000, would Cloud die? Just a question. because Sephiroth did 5000-6000 damage to me and I had 7000 MAX hp without HP Plus mastered.

He'll never kill you, I once had 3000HP, maybe even less and he damaged like 1000 HP, it's imposible to loose!

That's because they were. The developers used special high resolution models only for that scene. I think that's the model I used for the Cloud wallpaper in the FF7 section, even.
