You probably are going to close this down on sight, but let me assure you, this is true.

I was playing aa FF3/6 rom this morning, and I'm in the cave where the goddess statues are. I had gotton Relm in my party, and went forward, and went through one of the holes in the floor. I walked a bit more, and I encountered five Slurms in a splinter attack. They were arranged like this...

An | is a Slurm. I sketched the middle one with Relm, andthe screen went crazy. Then it showed all the slurms dieing animation, but the fight still continued. It then erased my whole party and in one member's place put an Esper  Terra, kneeling, and reddened like she was in Berserk condition. It staticed over again, and I now had a downed Terra, two multicolored blots, and Leo. Leo had taken Locke's place, I think, because he had the steal command and knew Regen and Fire 2 spells, which Locke had. So it's not really getting him in your party, but you do get to see his different poses, like his magic chant pose. I've taken screent shots, but haven't hosted them yet. Boomspeed should work, however, so I'll be back soon with them up.

At least give me a chance to put the screenshots up, alright? I garuntee this is true, but that's not worth very much, is it?

Interesting result of the old Sketch glitch (which we should really cover a bit on the site, note to self), there.  Good screenshots, too.  I thought it only worked sketching very particular unsketchable enemies... it seems strange that it would be possible on the monsters in an area where you must bring Relm.

Nice one, anyway.

Another note, I suggest you don't try it on your FF3 catridge. I tried to use the rom again, and it has many flaws. The sound is garbled, and the animation is skipping frames. So, if you want to try this out, use a rom to avoid your game being messed with...

Edit: Alas... My whole ZSnes is infected by that. I wonder if this will only work with an emulator...?

Yeah, I've gotten that with the sketch glitch, although I thought that the glitch only worked when you try to sketch an invisible enemies?  Ah, well, that may just be how I did it.

Although I should be skeptical, knowing how easy it would be to make fake screenshots of what you just did, I'll believe it.  Just because I know the Sketch glitch does a lot of wierd things.  That's actually really interesting.  Too bad you don't get all of Leo's moves along with the sprites.

ive heard of another sketch glitch, when your in zozo if you
sketch a gabblegak in WoB u can duplicate all your items,
but if you sketch him in WoR the game screws up and deletes
your save. but this is only in the cartridge version, im to chicken
to try it on the psx version. but the delete your save glitch
did happen to me..

Why do kamakazi pilots wear helmets?

I'm pretty sure no such glitches will work on the PSX version, especially since they don't work on all the SNES versions (a fixed version was silently released after the glitched one).

The Sketch glitch is exclusive to FF3us v1.0.

Interesting. I got the "Gau sketch" glitch a few times, just for fun, though I wouldn't try it on my cartridge. Never know...
