A while back I remember someone linking to a site that had a neat little table that outlined how much HP and MP each character would gain at level up. I tried looking around for it myself but have had no luck. Can someone point me into the right direction?

Okay, so I found Master ZED's HP/MP Gain List out of his white list (why is it called that btw?) but if each of the characters has a different final HP/MP max, is the HP/MP increase the same for every character?

In case you're wondering, I'm trying to figure out exactly how much I need to increase my character's HP/MP to get them all to the max of 9999/999. From what I can tell, it looks like all I have to do is use the Esper's 50% increase in HP/MP at a few key levels. Half a dozen at the most. My only problem is Umaro, since he can't equip espers. Any suggestions for him?

i don't think you can make umaro do magic attacks, <unless the blizzard orb thing uses mp> and you can't control him, either, so i guess you're just going to have to level him up to level 99

I know that much. I'm looking to increase Umaro's Hit points and Magic points to 9999/999. Albeit, he will get no use what-so-ever out of the Magic Points, but I'm simply going for a perfect game here.

1. It's called the Unoriginal White Sheet mostly because that's what it looks like (or did). The page was meant only to give my material a place to shine on the web, so it never had to look any better than basic and workable. In the end, the design was completely unoriginal and looked like it was thrown on a white sheet.

It's only had one other design prior to the one you see here in its 5+ years of existence, which you can find on archive.org by searching for members.aol.com/masterzed.

2. The increase is the same, that's why I listed the values for each level in the list, and only once.

3. Since Umaro and Gogo can't equip Espers, your only solutions lie in equipment, which won't be truely permanent. Don't bother with Umaro's MP, though, he'll never need it and the game will act as though he has 0 MP in combat as a result. You'll be wasting a relic slot on nothing, which will hurt Umaro's usefulness in combat.

4. You only need Bahamut for three levels and Crusader for a couple, the latter depending on if you're playing FF3 or 6. Anything officially numbered 6 has a greater overall MP increase that gives half of your characters, including Gogo, a natural 999 MP rating at LV. 99, so they won't need Crusader at all. For Bahamut, 69 thru 71 are the levels you want. Check the list for Crusader.

Use an exp egg + offering + atma weap (if applicable) and level to 99 at the dino forest... you'll get 9999 life and 900+ mp or close enough without resorting to espers with HP/MP inc. You can use those levels for mag power inc instead, youll only need one or two levels to max out to 9999. It doesnt take that long if your char can take on the dino one on one. If not then pair with umaro and go 2 vs 1.

Oh, and dont waste time with the brachosaur... run. Go for the fast kill. Go back at it later on around lvl 90+ if you want an economizer while levelling.

I'm pretty sure Sax doesn't give a wet snap about gaining levels rapidly, but rather, wishes to max out his HP/MP.

Just take your time and read the other posts before replying. smile.gif Helping others is always welcomed, but you're only wasting your time if you post something that doesn't answer the right question, no matter how good your intentions. wink.gif

If it's of any help, the game literally goes through every level and sums up the HP/MP gained when a character joins. More specifically, when their stats are set by an event. I do believe this is the case whenever Shadow rejoins in the WoB, so you would lose any esper bonuses then. Just a little (unconfirmed) heads up.

One more question: When leveling up using magicite to increase your HP/MP, does the game round up or down using the percentage increase? For example: at level 50 a character will normally gain 17 MP. But using Crusader to increase this by 50%, it will now be 25.5. Obviously we can't have fractional spell costs, so is 25.5 rounded up or down?

I'm almost completely sure it's rounded down. It wouldn't really matter as it has no bearing on what you have to do to get that 9999/999 you're looking for.

Well, it does have bearing on leveling up, since I was looking for the most efficient way to get to said level of 9999/999. For those that are curious, to level up to 999 MP you must use Crusader for the following levels for each of these characters:

Terrra - 43 through 45
Locke - 43 through 46
Cyan - 43 through 47
Shadow - 43 through 46
Edgar - 43 through 46
Sabin - 43 through 47
Celes - 43 through 45
Strago - 43 through 46
Relm - 43 through 45
Setzer - 43 through 46
Mog - 43 through 45
Gau - 43 through 46

Now one doesn't have to waste levels to attain that perfect game, and can instead use those Espers to beef up your other stats. Now if 25.5 was round UP, it might be a different story, as some of the characters wouldn't need as many levels to attain 999, thereby freeing up more opportunities for that Strength +2 or Magic Power +2 bonus. Enjoy smile.gif
