Don't know, recently I've kind of been screwing around with this super-hero-kind-of-guy (I guess that's the best way to describe him) I'm naming, unless I think of a better name, The Scribbler. Still need to work out the details and background for him, but BASICALLY, he has the ability to temporarily bring his drawings to reality.

But it's not that simple, in order for it to create perfectly it needs to be detailed and the specs have to be written down.

i.e. (Drawing of a sword)
Length: X
Weight: X
Materials: X

Something like that. Maybe his background can also revolve around that, like certain members of his past relatives and family had the same ability. But he's barely getting into the art of mastering it, he can only create his drawings into reality temporarily since he's using graphite (pencils and such), once he masters that then he can move onto other mediums (like Ink) for more effective transformations and longer lasting periods.

And of course, no hero would be complete without a sidekick/animal companion, in his case he has a small 3-4 foot kneaded eraser, Kned maybe? And, since kneaded erasers can be molded into any shape, he can turn into different things.

But all of this is stil being messed around with, so nothings permanent yet, so any questions/suggestions/comments/criticisms/flames are welcome. Yet another weird idea from my mind.

Sounds completely retarded... but in a good way! It's the dumbest idea I've ever heard... and by that, I mean it's awesome!

But yeah, it's a good idea, and I really don't have anything else to say.

Hmm, is this a cartoonish superhero or a more serious comic book superhero? Much of your description points to a cartoonish one. If that's the case, then I don't see why it wouldn't work; after all, it worked for Relm. In fact, this is really the only way it could work. I could see "The Scribbler" working out all the necessary details at cartoon-fast speed, but in a more realistic treatment, all that work would make his power rather inefficient; unless he was backed up by others with faster powers, any run-of-the-mill thug would tear up poor ol' Scribbler before he could manage a stick tongue.gif .

Also, goofy sidekicks are rather cliche-ish, but I can easily forgive that in a cartoon inclined toward comedy happy.gif .

He's kind of a mix of cartoonish and serious, don't want it to be too kiddy or too angsty or anything, so it's somewhere in the middle.

But I've thought about how he'd fight, and came to a solution. Basically when he's fighting he's either using hand to hand or a bokken he uses, only using his ability if the odds are against him. If you can do it on your own with out any help, then do it, no need to use something that you can do with your hands. At first I thought maybe he'd use some big art supply (like a brush or pencil) as a weapon, but that was pretty expected.

"But Bum's Rush, how would he have time to draw as he's fighting?"

I'm sorry I didn't explain this earlier, but he carries all his potential sketches in a small bag that hangs next to his waist. If he ever needs to use one he quickly reaches into it and uses it. Just how does he use it? It depends, if it's something he can hold in his hand he puts it infront of him and brings it out from there, but if it's something environmental (like a wall to block an attack) then he puts it on the ground. Kind of think of it as transmutating from Full Metal Alchemist.

"But how does he know which is which?"

They're specified by the type of paper, ranging from the smooth printer paper, the rougher Sketch Paper, Bristol and the different thickness of water color papers.

As for his companion, I don't think he'd really play as the comedy relief, he's just there to help in anyway he can, though I'm debating if he should talk. I'm in the process of drawing them out, whenever I finish I'll post the designs on here.

Well, given "The Scribbler" isn't a completely serious concept, I suppose that makes sense enough. Still, even if it isn't completely serious, I think ye better have a good explanation why there's a 3-4 ft. kneaded eraser bouncing around with a mind of its own because even the design alone is going to draw laughs, whether ye mean it to be funny or not.

Edit
Eh, decided the big quote wasn't necessary.
