Can anyone give me any pointers on what order to select characters for the last battle? I know it's pretty much up to me but I was just looking for some orders that did others justice when fighting kefka. Thanks!!!!

I usually use the following six characters (never really needed more)
Terra Celes Edgar Cyan Shadow Locke or Strago or Sabin They have a good mix of strong magic, fighting power, and special powers like the Throw command and Blitz -------------------- I'VE HAD AN ETERNITY TO PONDER THE MEANING OF THINGS. AND NOW I HAVE AN ANSWER... |

I used Terra, Locke, Celes, and Edgar. I had used the magicite bonuses to boost Terra and Celes's magic and Locke and Edgar's vigor. I put the genji glove and offering on Edgar with Atma Weapon and another good sword, and I concentrated on making sure none of them died (I think I had Celes and Terra do mostly healing, every now and then cast Ultima.) It worked well--Edgar dealt a lot of damage.
At any rate, I had all of my characters except Gau and Relm leveled up to 50+ (the above 4 were 60 to 70) so I could be sure to beat all the bosses in Kefka's tower without exiting and entering again. -------------------- Status: FF6 -- Finished! Locke
Edgar Shadow Mog Strago Terra Setzer Gogo realm Thats how i began set up in the final battle. I always had locke on had because i consider him one of the most versital charecters. Not only is he fast but given the right amount of encouragement (ie magicite boost) he's really physically strong as well. Edgar i used for the diblitator, this made it alot easier when the final fight with kefka rolled around. Plus chain saw and drill are always effective. Shadow should be fairly obvious, i heardly did any boss battles in the game with out him. He's a well rounded fighter, with good defense and strong attack power he's one of the best to have. I used mog not for his dances but for his attack and magic capabilites. Mog is always my right hand man (er...moogle) because he has a wide aray of ablities that help. If i am desperate enough i will use his dances. Strago is there for his blue magic, by that point in the game i usally have all his blue magic, some of his spells are really powerful. Like quazar (sp?) thats not only one of the coolest spells i've ever seen, its also dang powerful, and force feild is vital for that battle. Everyone else has there uses too but if i go into them i will be late for class so i must go. -------------------- Don't fear the reaper! My first four are usually:
Cyan, because by this point, he knows every spell and has the Sky Render. What's the point of having all those nifty swords if you don't use them? I give him some Marvel Shoes, and he's ready to go. Shadow, because I need to start chucking all my surplus weapons away. Too bad you can't Throw the Atma Weapon. Mog with the Dragoon Boots and Dragon Horn and the Pearl Lance, because that's like ultra pain. The only thing to watch for is that the guy on the third level is healed by Pearl. Edgar, because he can use some of the strongest equipment in the game and I like the "Tools" command for this fight. I usually have the following Espers equipped: Palidor, ZoneSeek, Phantom, Fenrir. Secondaries, it doesn't matter much to me as long as Umaro, Setzer, Gau, Relm and Strago are at the bottom. -------------------- You don't scare me, you talking blobs of oozing slop! Any combination should work for you, just use the characters you've used for most of the game. With Life 3, dying shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Now, as for who I usually use, it's usually Relm (super-mage with Kitten Hood -------------------- |

Thank u very much!!! Now Kefka will have to worry for sure!!! Oh and I almost forgot something . . . has any body played FF6 on an emulator? Something very weird happens when you sketch the zone eaters on triangle island. you get an array of items!!!! I got megalixers , ethers, 85 illuminas, about 25 paladin shields, 15 atma weapons, and many many more!!! However since thats cheating I started the game from the last save point. But not until I had some fun equipping everyone with all the new found items I received. It's totally worth a try!!!

That'll actually work on most copies of the NA SNES version, but yes, it is a bit frightening/entertaining to recieve many copies a sword called 'Illumina' you had never obtained before after sketching a Zone Eater.
