If the characters of Final Fantasy were to listen to our music, what do you think they would perfer?

I'd think Strago would be like that old man who listened to Highway to Hell a tad too much in his hayday. Probably a classic rock fan.

Terra would probably be listening to Hillary Duff, Lindsay Lohan and other assorted Pop artists.

Celes would listen to country rock and country music.

Cyan would mostly listen to Mozart and other Classical music. Newer music would freak him out.

Gau would be headbanging heavy metal.

Kefka would be gothic music.

Whatever you guys want them to listen to, just say it here.

First off, this thread rocks. With so many crap threads being made, it's good to know some people still have fresh, original ideas.

Mog would probably listen to rap. Don't ask why, he just would.
Locke might be into ska and progressive rock.
Relm... hmmm... Don't know.

I can't see Mog listening to rap...you know, him being a slam-dancing moogle and all. I can definitely see him being a big jazz fan. He'd probably love Don Ellis. Try to dance in a piece that shifts between 33/16 and 36/16 every measure. Definitely gettin the jazz vibe from him.

I can see Sabin being into heavy metal.

Gogo would listen to whatever everybody else is listening to.

Those are the only ones I can put a genre to at the moment. People like Edgar and Cyan are difficult to get a good feel for. Same goes for Shadow, but that's to be expected, I guess.

I say Edgar would listen to slow rock, romanticy (is that a word?) songs.

Edgar would listen to arias from various operas. So would Setzer.

I could see Terra, Locke and Celes all listening to soft rock, or possibly rock ballads. Dunno why exactly. Cyan would likely be all 'bout classical; hearing a synth or somethin' would totally blow his ears out otherwise.

Sabin would jam to the Beach Boys.

I could completely imagine Edgar jamming on some electric guitar he created. I'd go with Heavy Metal or Hard Rock.

Shadow wouldn't listen to anything. Although I can imagine him as a rapper now, but when he was 'Clyde', I'd think he'd be more into Soft Rock.

Relm would probably be Emo and 'Teeny Bopper'.

Mog would be slamdancing music, obviously. Jazz also very easily fits his persona.

Umaro would like beating on bones with sticks... 'Cave Man' music?

Just because he'd really like the ambiance that this music creates

Terra - Funk
Maybe it's jsut me but I feel it feels with her

Celes - Classic
I'm not saying taht she's a common girl, but She's not too hard neither too soft (she was a general after all) so I think it's the music that fits for her

I don't think I could argue much for the others as I'm unsure...

Gogo, I'd imagine, listening to quirkier stuff, like Steve Reich, particularly 'Music for Six Marimbas' and maybe even a touch of Captain Beefheart.

Terra would be into her alternative/pop, the likes of Jeff Buckley, Massive Attack.

Relm'd be into 'bubblegum' music, Bowling for Soup, bit of McFly.

Shadow would definitely have a secret fondness for wussy/electronic 80's stuff, like The Tubes and Soft Cell.

Cyan would like albums like 'Songs of War' and national anthem compilations.

Edgar would feel compelled to enjoy classical because he's a king, but would have a hankering for jazz.

Locke's a tough one, but he'd probably like 'indie,' bands like Kula Shaker, the Charlatans, stuff from the mid-90's with a bit of Little Barrie on the side.

Mog's another jazz fan, and Umaro'd be into chundering black metal.

Strago, I've gotta agree with the 'classic rock' thing, as well as The Clash and that sort of thing.

Celes, I don't think'd be a music fan. She'd probably just like whatever she heard on the radio, usually the modern indie acts like 'The Coral.' Oh, and Damien Rice, big Damien Rice fan.

Gau would like his free jazz, definitely. He'd like the really out-there stuff, too, and all the 70's Cantebury scene stuff.

Sabin would be into his rock, Metallica, AC/DC, the like, and Setzer would be into his classical, though he'd branch out a bit into neo-classical and even some electronic music like Tortoise.

Relm would definitely be into J-Pop. That cheesy kind of J-pop that's a guilty pleasure!

Terra would like some of those moody independent type bands. You know, the sad kind of songs that she could sit and mope to.

Setzer, Celes, and Edgar would like classical and opera.

Gau would like heavy metal, something to leap and thrash to!

Sabin and Cyan, probably Chinese meditation music, you know, chiming bells and all.

Mog, old school rap, definitely. The kind that was good, not the scary stuff they have nowadays.

Locke would be into Smashing Pumpkins type stuff.

I can totally see Mog digging FUNK. He's gotta have danceable music, and I don't see him as swing-jazz as much as a funk/reggae/hip-hop hybrid. Mostly funk, though.

Relm seems like she could easy be Otaku, so she seems like a J-Pop kind of person - artist, likes cute things, unusual clothes. I can understand the teeny bopper edge, too.

Strago? I dunno. He's pretty energetic for an old guy, I bet he listens to whatever kind of music he grew up listening to, which is likely bebop, big band music, maybe jazz.

You know Edgar has to love the mood music. Whenever he's entertaining a lady he's playing Barry White, Boyz II Men, classic love ballad stuff that makes 'em melt.

Celes seems like the kind of chick who prefers the more acoustic sounds. I can see her liking sissy-rock like the Goo Goo Dolls, if for no other reason that an alarmingly large number of my female friends really like them. Maybe some vocals-heavy popular non-rock music, I dunno, that's not my genre, really.

Locke's a rocker, you know he is. He likes it heavy and loud and Celes is the girlfriend that takes awhile to get used to it. Maybe he's one of those Metallica fanboys that there are too many of....

Terra's appearance and personality doesn't equate well to any kind of music that I can think of. So I'll cop out and say she likes medium-hardcore alt rock and indy rock. Say, Radiohead, old-school Modest Mouse, assorted bands that only the likes of Dragon_Fire and Sabin have heard of.

Setzer's in to opera, for obvious reasons. Mostly because he fancies himself to be a real sophisticated rich dude.

Gau likes loud, fast, crazy music. Think upbeat trance, punk, ska, assorted metal, you get the idea. "Leap and thrash" are good verbs to illustrate the situation.

Cyan likes classical music. He's probably more of a conservative old fogey than Strago is.

I can totally see Sabin rocking out to classic rock. Dunno why, all that's in my head right now is that scene from Road Trip where the four guys in the bus are rocking to Twisted Sister. I can totally see the buff bouncer/powerlifter/martial artist Sabin rock out in a pickup truck to that stuff.

Shadow? I got nothing. I'll just say that he lilkes drum corps music because it rules.
