I didn't see a forum post for any Mortal Kombat games yet, so I decided to post one. This is really for all MK games, but I wanted to start the discussion on Mortal Kombat: Unchained for the PSP. If possible, please answer the following questions if they have not been answered already.
1. My friend has Mortal Kombat: Deception, and he has told me that it's pretty good, and what it's about. I got MK: Unchained for my PSP, and when I was playing Conquest mode, it started looking exactly like how my friend told me it went. Is "Unchained" just an exact copy, but PSP version for "Deception"? 2. I've gotten pretty far in the Konquest mode for the short amount of time I've had this game. So far, I've been taught by Nightwolf and Kenshi, and have defeated Raiden. I've been sent back into the Netherealm for the second time, and instead of going straight to my goal, instead I was looking around for coins and doing mini missions, then I was going to complete my main goal. I found a big platform above a lake of lava, and I walked up there. There were three fighters, Kobra, Kabal, and some girl with two daggers, I think her name was Kira, but I'm not sure. When I confronted one of them, a little text box came up saying something like "You must defeat (whoever I was facing) to summon(blahblahblah)" I forget who it said was going to summon, someone else who's names starts with a 'K' I think. So I defeated all of them, and a big portal appeared in front of me. out of curiosity, I walked into it. I reappeared in the town in the Netherrealm where I started. That was sort of annoying, since it just sent me all the way back into town, and I have to now walk a long way out there again. So I was leaving town, when I see the big gate out of town have locked me in. It used to be up out of the way once I defeated Ashrah, but now it's back again, and I can't figure out a way to get out. The game autosaved when I went through the portal. Do I need to delete that Konquest and start all over? 3. Okay, last question... Honestly, I feel pathetic asking this question, but how do you activate Fatalities / Hara-Kiri's? When I defeat an opponent, it says "Finish Him/Her" and I just use an attack and they die. it's pretty boring without the fatalities. -------------------- Relm: What's wrong, lover boy? 1--yes, 'Unchained'=PSP 'Deception'
2--the teleporting after defeating the 3 warriors was supposed to happen, because that was your goal in the story 3--I believe there should be a list of Fatality combos somewhere on the web...try GameFAQs or IGN. -------------------- HSUP B TCELES |

Well apparently you needed to do something before that in the Netherrealm, which I didn't do. That was a pretty crappy move on the developers part making the gate close. Was there any reason for that? Well thanx for the answers.

Personally, I prefer the original Mortal Kombat games. For the SNES.
That was the golden age. -------------------- |

I was only 11 or 12 when I first played Mortal Kombat. I don't remember any game being so blatantly graphic before it, so I thought it was cool. My love affair continued through MK2. By MK3, however, I felt the series went too far in how ridiculous the finishing moves had become (babalities?) Yeah, I played it, but the novelty had worn off.

I have Mortal Kombat for the SNES, a Mortal Kombat game for the GBA and Deadly Alliance for the XBOX.
It's fun to play against my brother sometimes, and that's pretty much it. Also, Sub-Zero is awesome. |

The past two times I visited the ol' college town I threw down a LOT of Mortal Kombat 9with my friends. I like it better than MvC3 and as much as... a few of my favorite Capcom or SNK fighting games. Here's a few videos for you:

I bought the game when it came out and it has been my gaming focus since then. I love the female characters. They are so much more fluid than a lot of the males. Kitana is by far and away my favorite but Skarlet and Sindel rank up there too.
Its a great game. If you have any interest in MK at all, this is the game for you. |
