Well, I've been doing Cutco demos all summer and brought in some serious cash (anyone else heard of it? Vector Marketing, it's a knife company that's basically a paid internship for college kids with no experience. Easiest job ever, I just made $700 in one hour earlier today. Sure beats the $6 an hour I was making at the grocery store the beginning of this summer.thumbup.gif ) but now it's time to get back to college. This is seriously the first time in my life that I'm actually looking forward to going back to school. It used to be the "Back to School Blues" for me, but no longer. I've been trying to get back into the flow of the college life the past few days (the past 4 nights have been awesome!), and I can't wait to start up again. I don't move back until the 5th though, pretty late compared to most schools I guess. My schedule will be ridiculously hard though next semester. It's gonna be hard to duplicate my 4.0 of last semester (keep in mind I still went out ALL the time!)

Math 143 (Finite math, whatever the heck that entails), Psych, Econ 202, Accounting, Anthropology, and golf lessons. I figure someday I'll have to be taking clients out for a day of golf or whatever, so I better learn how now.

I took two AP classes, US history and English. English was worth it. But I kinda regret the US History because I already have credit for the two US History courses, and I need easy classes like that but I can't take them anymore! I love US History too, and fillers are what I need, I'm already done with all my gen eds and it's only my 3rd semester. dry.gif

The clouds ran away, opened up the sky
And one by one I watched every constellation die
And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard
Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star
I should've known, walked all the way home
To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone

Finite math is probably a little bit of basic calculus and a lot of linear algebra, probably with applications useful in statistics, etc. happy.gif If it's what I think it is, it's a math course that deals in concrete numbers instead of theory, but it's going to be a pain in the ass, especially if you have to use approximation methods. It isn't a required course for the math major here.

I started school last week I do not like how the school year started out. Too many students have their classes mess up, over 40-50 students in one class, it's just chaos. The school system in my hometown is screw up because the St. Louis Board of Education had did things at the last minuten, screwing every school up in many ways. Other then that, I am enjoying my second year of high school so far. The only class I think my imight do horrible in is in math, since I have a history of low math scores. I belive my 2nd year od high school might be one of my easiest years in my high school life.

OK, now I think I finally have my schedule in order. The classes I'm ACTUALLY taking are Band, physics 251, probability, quantum mechanics, and archaeoastronomy. What the hell is that, you ask? It's a fun course (for me at least) that basically teaches pre-Renaissance astronomy persepectives, focusing on the ancient Greeks, early Chinese, Mayans, numerous Mesopotamians, Egyptians, and Celts. It tries to be more scientific than historic, but it still is a bit of a black sheep in the generally physics-driven astronomy department.

Here's the description in the COD: "Open to non-science students. Discussion of prescientific astronomy, including Mayan, Babylonian, and ancient Chinese astronomy, and the significance of relics such as Stonehenge. Discusses the usefulness of ancient records in the study of current astrophysical problems such as supernova outbursts. Uses current literature from several disciplines, including astronomy, archaeology, and anthropology." I'm looking forward to this year. It's going to be crazy-awesome.

Bleh, well I know I ain't gonna have fun this semester. As I suspected, first day of real work in me Life Drawing II class was a major drag. Seriously, I'd like to know what ye can possibly learn from 10 second drawings. That crap is gonna try me patience the whole semester...again. thumbdown.gif I have no particular interest in me two art history classes, either, but at least I can doodle while the teacher yaps.

Yeah, I worked for them too. Only, my experience was much less pleasant. As in they owe me a few hundred bucks and a couple knives.

Anyways, yep. Back to school for me too. Accounting and Computer Science

Now I'm thinking... I kinda hope my double-petition idea works out. If it does, maybe my school will have a karate and a fencing class.

Feh... First day back was predictably confusing. I honestly went through the whole day finding out what my class was when I got there. The course codes, more often than not, were no help whatsoever. GPP3O0 anyone?

Also, everyone's schedules were screwy. Most everyone I talked to were disatisfied with their courses... One of my friends actualy didn't get a single class she had signed up for blink.gif

And finaly, my flippin' shoes hurt... But that was my fault and has little to do with school. Didn't help make my day any better though...
