Well I thought it would be worth discussing the possiblities with the classes in FF5 here's my favourite

Bartz Knight/2handed (sometimes See passages) skill  Equ Excalibur
Reina Dragoon/Summon skill Equ Holy Lance
Krile Monk/ White Magic
Faris Samurai/Throw Equ Masamune

Galuf Monk/ Buildup before killed by X-Death

With this Combination I ended up Killing X-Death with very little effort. What did everyone else have.

I STILL haven't killed Ex-Death, although I've had the game since it game out in America. Ex-Death is a whore. Maybe you guys can help.  

I usually use  
Butz: Knight / 2-handed
Faris: Ninja / something...
Krile: Summoner / +20% MP
Reina: White Mage / +20% MP

had it for about 3/4's of a year in the UK. havent played it much. im still on the first world!

im about to fight a big cannon thing on a floating city. any tips?

hmm well mine is a little something like this:

Bartz: Knight with 2-handed
Krile/Galuf: Samuri or Monk with $-toss
Reina: Black Mage with White magic or vice verse
Faris: Summoner with Time magic

because of some technical problems, i had to start over like 5 times   (stupid not-fully-translated verison...and old ZSNES )

Well but I always wanted to try Bard using two weapons, so he can fight after his songs

I think mine went like this:

Bartz: Ninja, eq.arm
Reina: White Mage, Time magic
Krile: Hunter, hp +30%
Faris: Blue mage, Summon magic

Bartz also knew Samurai, Lancer, and Knight skills, Reina knew Black Magic, Krile knew Geomancer and Monk skills, and Faris also had Thief abilities.

Best combination ever.

The last time I beat the game, I used for mimes and had something like

!Mime, !White, !Black, !Throw
!Mime, !X-Fight, !Capture, !Item
!Mime, !X-Magic, !Summon, something else
!Mime, !Revive, something else, something else

I want to try putting on more than one White command next time, or using mastered bares (so that I can equip Ribbons) in future games. Also, I want to try having !GilToss on someone, after hearing how effective it is against Neo-Exdeath.

I tend to like throwing the trusted !X-Fight + 2-swords combo on fighters
!Redx2 + !Time + !Blue on mages. I love me my blue magic!

For the party that makes me feel guilty:

Bartz; Mime: !Mime, !Blue, !X-Fight

Faris; Mime: !Mime, !Black, !X-Fight

Krile; Mime: !Mime, !Throw, !Giltoss

Lenna; Mime: !Mime, !White, Summon

I just mime throwing Fuuma Shurikens. It's...so easy that way.(Pop! 6,000 damage! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!...)

For more of a challenge, I do Bare. Okay, it's not so challenging. But I have a hard time finding which other ability to put on them while Bare.

Whenever I use GilToss, it only does like 2,000. Do I need more Gil or something? Meh.

Everyone has Monk and Thief mastered, for the endgame bonuses.

Bartz: Bare, !Sword, !X-Fight, 2-swords (inherent)

Lenna: Mimic, !X-Magic, !White, !Black (so every black and white spell can be x-magic'd)

Faris: Mimic, !White, !Time, !Blue

Cara: Mimic, !Black, !White, !Summon

Yeah, I like White magic. I had to heal or mimic/heal like every ten seconds during the ExDeath fights.

Why do you put !Mime back on again? You don't have to do that, you know, so that you have a slot freed up for anything else. Hence, something like Mime + !Black + !White + !X-Fight.

lol, It's been awhile since I played. I forgot that Mimes have another ability slot...so I just put !Mime there as an ability, since it automatically is there. Meh. I always confuse Mime and Bare with having the three free ability slots...

Reviewing my Anthology disc...(Which, quite frighteningly, is loading fastly)

Mime party:

Krile: !Time, !GilToss, !Throw

Bartz: !Blue, First Attack, !Item

Lenna: !White, !Summon, !Recover

Faris: !Black, !Caution, !Item

That party is kinda sloppy, and I think my Bare party is much better. They have all those "inherited" abilities from Knight, Monk, Ninja, Thief, etc., and they can equip anything. (All that dancer stuff..)

Krile: !Throw, !Time

Bartz: !Blue, !X-Attack

Lenna: !White, !Summon

Faris: !Mime, !Black (Faris is the only person who's mastered Mime so far.)

Now I want to do a new game on this too...
