Im headed for Somerset, Wisconson on August 5th for Ozzfest. Its a pretty good line up this year with Black Sabbath, Zach Wylde's Black Label Society, Mudvayne, Rob Zombie (heading up 2nd stage wich is most cool and humble of the zombie), Shadows Fall, and Killswitch Engage ( a 2nd stage band). Theres a whole bunch of other bands but too many to list. Is anyone else going, and if so, where? Who would be the bands you would want to see? The only band I really wish wasnt ther was Velvet Revolver because the lead singer is apearing on stage in a SS officers cap and thats about as cool as Tom Green going to a barmitzva dressed as Hitler (and for those that didnt hear about that, he did. Go figure....)

I'm headed to it down in the Cricket Pavilion here in Arizona got my ticket upgraded from lawn to pit for my birthday. Most of the line-up doesn't actually excite me. I want to see good metal, and there's a definitive lack. Speaking of which, how did Velvet Revolver even make the cut? I think i'd probably blame it on Ozzy's son, but I digress. Some really brutal stuff like Cradle of Filth would've made it so much better.
The bands i'm looking forward to are: Black Label Society, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, and somewhat Mudvayne. The other thing i'm looking forward to, is I heard my friend Rob got a pit ticket too. So if he's not lying like his usual self, i'm going to knock him out. ![]() -------------------- This one time I punched a bear in the forehead TO DEATH! I still have the scars on my chest. hey bizzaro, you still could get tickets if ya really want to cause there will always be a handful of people walking around saying "need a ticket? i got an extra." just dont let anyone charge more than 60 bucks because that would be scalping. hope you can go.

Iron Maiden is dropping out in the Texas leg of the tour to go back to Europe
![]() Ah well, Black Sabbath is a once in a lifetime experience, then combine it with BLS, Rob Zombie, and Velvet Revolver and it is udder fantasy. Hopefully I'll get to see it when it comes here. -------------------- I fear my heart and fear my soul Life goes on, it surely will, Without me and I wonder: Will I ever see light again? Ozzfest isn't anything special to me this year. I've seen all the bands on the bill before, a few too many times for me to want to shell out the kind of money that Ozzfest tickets are asking for.
Not to mention, I don't like these sort of festivals because it's too much marketing and not enough rockin'. I don't want to have to travel from one stage to another, avoiding tent after tent of gimmicks, games, mini-stores and merchandise...I'm there to own the mosh pit and see some great acts! For that reason, I'm skipping Warped Tour and Ozzfest this year and instead, I'll just catch the bands that I like from the line-ups when they come to town solo. -------------------- Okay, but there was a goat! |

kind of a bummer story but it ends happy. a half hour before we leave form my friends house one of his buddies comes over witha a net print off saying that ozzfest in somerset, wis has been postponed untill sept 10. god was i bummed but we decided to go anyway. glad we did cause it was one non stop party untill sunday morning. saturday was the biggest party day because three of the biggest camp grounds (hide away, apple river, and float-rite) decided to go tubing. id tell more but that would make this thread 18+
