If you had to pick a town to be your hometown which would it be?
I think I'd pick the Village of Mist. Except for the whole gettin blown up thing it seemed like a nice place to stay. Even had secret rooms behind the fireplace! Silvera, I'd use my height as an advantage over the pigs, frogs and tiny people to become mayor and rule the land. I'd make them work long hours at minimum wage in my mines. I'd take control of the mines and control the worlds supply of silver/mythril and raise the price. Slowly, over time, I would become a silver/mythril tycoon and make billions from my strategic financial plans.
Yes, I am a cruel tyrant in case you're wondering. I'll admit, if that opportunity ever arose where I was in a position of power I would abuse it to the extreme. -------------------- This is my world: (Got my second chapter up, 3rd Chapter about 80% complete) http://www3.sympatico.ca/daniel876/homepage.html |

Mithril Town/Silvera. Oh yeah. I'd be frying tiny people and cooking tiny hams with a magnifying glass.

Definitely Mysidia. I'd love being a mage(black, obviously) in that town.

Mysidia. I'd go there, insult some crazy witch, have one wild and ultimately un-rememberable night and wake up as a pig!
Either that or Kaipo. It's a desert Oasis. You'd get a little drink with an umbrella in it, and you just KNOW the women would have to be scantily clad. |

Come on. Mysidia wins by music alone. Plus when you get there with Cecil and you find out it's the same town from the beginning and Cecil's all alone and everyone hates him, you're like, "Ahhh, sit."

True, the music is awesome in Mysidia.
![]() But, isn't it a little odd that you Cecil the Dark Knight, the one who raped this land, killed its people, and stole the crystal... can buy stuff from the local merchants? Guess some of those mages were just as greedy as the "king" of Baron. It's also annoying getting status aliments when you're trying to get a lap dance... ![]() Residing in that town are the wielders of some of the most destructive magics (I can only assume anyway) and a fleet of airships brought you down? I could understand the White Mages not fighting because it's their Ethos or something like that. But a Black Mage? Send a couple Fire3 up there and toast the airships when Cecil attacked it. I didn't see one mage put up any resistance when they attacked either. Or when he returns later, don't you think they would've killed him the instant he showed up? I always thought that to become a mage it would involve having not only the mental capacity, but some common sense as well. This guy took your crystal, killed your people... at least ARREST him. Something please! C'mon mages. Pigs, toads, and little people have the strength to mine silver/mythril. Not only that, run a peaceful civilization. I don't recall any mention in any text about a massive war on the people of Silvera. Or anyone in Silvera living in poverty or suffering from the aftermath of war. No one was dumb enough to attack them. They must have secrets weapons stashed away that in such a case if the Red Wings attacked them... pshaw. And Baron knows it, thats why they don't make any threats on them. Thus when I control it, I can overpower Baron and Golbez alike. Next would be you Silverfork... fry my people with a magnifying glass will you! ![]() -------------------- This is my world: (Got my second chapter up, 3rd Chapter about 80% complete) http://www3.sympatico.ca/daniel876/homepage.html |

I'd go with Fabul. At every level, the people of Fabul felt heroic. Yang's wife clobbered a soldier with her frying pan; the king used to be a great fighter. They have these outdated, gentlemanly notions of chivalry that won't allow even kick-ass women like Rydia and Rosa to defend the nation, even when they're under an overwhelming assault by the Red Wings themselves. Then, after the fight, even the wounded are grinning with fierce stubbornness that, yes, Fabul is still standing, it takes more than that to crush us under your heel!
I'd want to be from Fabul, because then I'd be a better man. |

Hmmm...Phantom Beast City....nice place to be from, but then I'd have to one day become someone's summon and respond to their every call...tiring job I think...
But yeah, I'd like to be from there... 2nd place goes to the-other-way-around...Village of Mist. I'd love to be a kickass summonner...yummy ![]() 3rd place would be Toroia...a city run by women and overflowing with women... yummy again ![]() -------------------- "I fell off the mountain of words at around the 10,000ft mark. The village of Eblan in the caves! Come on, you'd be living in a cave filled with NINJAS! And no foreign jerks would invade a cave full of ninjas without being insanely rich and buying a hovercraft (or stealing one from Damcyan). Now if only there were pirates in the area, too...then we could have a pirate and ninja feud...
Honorable mention goes to the land of Summoned Monsters. Awesome place, with a King and Queen that can literally kick your ass. |

I think the mages that were gaurding the crystal were only arrested, or at least some of them were and they probably didnt try to kill Cecil because they are wise and realize he is infact a Paladin and therefore not evil.
As for the best town I'm goin with the castle the dwarves live in, it would be awesome to live with a bunch of hairy drunken midgets, and just think of all the beer they probably drink.... rally-ho! -------------------- Dont make me cast Thundaga XXXIV on you.... |

Mysidia...simply because the whole "rite of passage" that Cecil begins in earnest talking to the elders, along with the Long Way to Go song, still bring chills down my spine after playing it many, many times.

The cave with all the lil' namingways!! I'd be all like: OMG IM A NAMINGWAY TOOOOO!!! then when people talk to me I'd totally be like: ">>Insert annoying sound Namingway-thingers make<<" and just keep repeating it until their ears bleed. o.o
Either that or the Desert Village.
