![]() I enjoy making Mog a dragoon every time I play Final Fantasy. Seing a 4 foot dragoon using a 6 foot spear is generally strange as it is comical, therefore I do it because I can (and because spears double jump damage, and the best spear in the game should be awarded to Mog, NOT Edgar). Now, I was in Kefka's Tower, and I entered a battle with, none other than, a Scullion! Now, it used Gamma Rays or whatever it uses which condemns your characters. Now, as his clock was ticking away, I jumped with Mog. While in mid-air, he died. The Phantom came to take his soul, and appeared where he would have been if he hadn't jumped (his original position) only he had his arms up in the air like he was either very happy to die or the Reaper was trying to help him take his shirt off but accidently ripped off his soul instead... Then he proceeded to fly down like a dragoon normally would, and hit the enemy three times with his spear (Dragonhorn is to thank for this ![]() And that, ladies and gentleman, is why Dragoons are amazing even AFTER they die. *Claps for dragoons everywhere* -------------------- "A little tight, but the price was right" - Locke "Oh, what a Fuddy Duddy" - Relm "..." - Shadow "I'm a General, not some love starved twit" - Celes "Although Edgar showers his attention on the ladies, most are smart enough to pay him no attention. This is also in the Bugs guide BTW. Search for Attain a living 0 HP character, or Condemned/Jump.

Yet ANOTHER FFVI bug that I'd never heard of for some reason. (the other one was the Cyan's soul-Magitek thing) And just when I thought I'd done everything...

That's a pretty neat discovery, Locke_Cole. I realize that bugs like these may be well documented, but still, finding them on your own in a normal playthrough is just another reason why this game is still played over and over.
Oh, and by the way, I'm currently studying for an exam Wednesday, and this little tidbit DID cheer me up! Thanks! -------------------- Cannis Rules: Balance of Power - My favourite Yuri's Revenge Mod |

Why on earth would we want to do that?

Quote (sax_russell_the_green @ 30th July 2005 03:23) [Silly Question]Has anyone ever tried to mod FF6 to fix *gasp* all of the bugs listed in the bug/glitch list?[/Silly Question] There are various patches out there that fix things like the Vanish/Doom trick, or the Evade/Magic Block bug, but ALL of them...that's a big task. I would think that while a lot of bugs are known, not all of them are understood. The sketch bug, for example, was only recently explained (by Master Zed I believe). Now that I think about it, though, there are some excellent mods, like i90east's Expert Version, that correct a lot of these bugs (and which make the game unbelievably hard). -------------------- Cannis Rules: Balance of Power - My favourite Yuri's Revenge Mod |
