If you look under "Special" on the homepage, you can downlaod and listen a interview with every gamer best friend: Jack Thompson. Obivously, Jack is pulling up some stuff about violent games, Hot Coffee mods, Grand Theart Auto: San Anderas, banning video games and all that good stuff. Well, IMO, the interview is good. I want to hear some of Jack's points(even though I don't like some of them, I.E. teenagers that play violent games turns violent, violet games leads to crime, ect.) -------------------- Life....Hopes...Dreams. Where did they came from and where are the headed? These Things...I am going to destory! -Kefka |

I haven't heard this, but I have heard of what he says. I quote... myslef... on another website.
Quote -Alleged verbal racist attacks upon Scotland and upon workers of Take 2, and upon the people of Edinburgh City. Mr Thompson is attributed to a statement made in an 80 minute interview (Said interview can be heard here) that stated, at 48 minutes and 34 seconds into the interview, that:"There are sociopaths everywhere. Some of them are in Government. Some of them are in Take 2. In fact we got a bunch of sociopaths in Edinburgh, Scotland sitting around in kilts sipping their single malt whisky spreading racial, hurtful stereotypes in this country." It must be noted the extreme irony of this statement that can be taken as implying that every single person in Edinburgh is a sociopath wearing a kilt sipping a whisky and "spreading racial, hurtful stereotypes" when the fact is, that the view that a place in scotland is full of kilt-wearing alcholoics is one, that, as a Scotsman myself, I find somewhat offensive and hurtful, thus the contradicition in the statement is made plain. I currently belive that alone could demand compensation to me or an apology or retraction/revision of the statement for the racial attack upon my nation. I may be wrong and I may be complaining about a possible nonissue: but I would also like to point out, Mr Thompson can be accused of doing the very same things with regards to video game violence and sex. In short: That bolded comment, is what we call a 'racist, hurtful sterotype' round here. Frankly, nothing he says will have any credibility with me, until he is willing to compromise and listen to people rather than assault them with petty little insults. Most of us have seen the alleged e-mail conversations between him and the owner of the VG cats website, as well as a torrent of other suspect statements and actions he has been linked to. Its sad: some of what he has to say, could have been said better by others with better points to make, but now he's up, there's no compromise avilable. It;s the same old situation: people want it all, and rather than compromising, and realising the real problem, which is, that the people who are supposedly influenced by violent vidoegames should never have even touched them in the first place. Jacko pops up also in an old Frontline Scotland documnetary back from durign a fuss about Vice City: realplayer file. You'd think with the money we pay in licence fees they'd use a better format... He doesn't say much, but he doesn't make much sense, but even Jack is overshadowed by Barry Silver, how acts at least as evidence that Florida clearly doesn't have all that high a standard for letting lawyers practice when it comes to things like sanity. Hear his pitiful song at about 17 minutes, 50 seconds. Giggle and the crazy guy abotu 15 minutes in babbling about empty bottles and F-15's. Well at first I thought the guy was being rather reasonable, but then the interviewer got Jack going and his true colors came out. Refers to violent games as "murder simulators"....nice.
Apparently Take 2 is also a bunch of sociopaths...Jack seems to think that if Take 2 is taken down, these kinds of games will magically disappear. I love his conspiracy theory about the porn industry and Electronic Arts. Laughable. His talk about the school shootings got me pretty steamed. So a parent raises their kid well, and then another kid who has had a shitty life and poor parents comes along and kills the first kid. Jack thinks violent games are the prob, ignoring the much more important root issues of how the shooter was raised and what lead up to the kid snapping and killing someone. So he wants the government to step in and do something about the violent video games, and sexual ones apparently. Nevermind starting an initiative to promote kids to be raised with more love, caring, understanding, preparation, and attention. Nope. Lets attack Take 2. Its not a problem with society. The big problem isn't uneducated ill-prepared parents who mentally and physically abuse their kids, and can't properly handle the stress and responsibility of raising a child. Or shcool environments where kids are bullied to breaking points and nobody tries to understand them or help them. Its those damn games poisoning and tricking our kids into acting out what they see like simple monkeys. That was probably too extreme, but thats what I'm getting from the guy. He talks about Hillary and how "it takes a village", seeming to indicate that we can't just live in our own little universe and do things our own way, and just ignore everyone elses problems. Then he pretty much ignores the societal aspects in a person's life that would actually cause them to act violently.
