Sorry but I'm new to this whole thing but I wanted to post something I found out
In the guide, in the part about the ancient forest, when trying to acess the 4th area, you're supposed to use the fly, grab the frog out of the hole, and dash back across before the fly gets digested. However, I have found out that it is SUPREMELY easier if you don't rush and take your time, as it does not matter if the fly gets digested. Simply use the frog that you just picked up and chuck it in the pitcher pant, and hop across. It will get undigested on your side and then you can use it to access the 4th area. Sorry for not knowing how to do this/what to do -------------------- ::Yawn + 15.3236:: There are things that must happen, because otherwise, it would defeat the purpose of its name, for it must happen. |

Sweet howie. I've also noticed the guide doesn't tell you that the Master Tonberries can be morphed into ribbons, but into Elixirs (big differance i.m.o.). But yeah, the guide does miss a bit of stuff.

well, I wouldn't say they missed this, (I found out through the debug room...) If somehow, you can get your hands an a morph at the start of the game, MPs can be morphed into Potions, and most of the other enemies can be morphed into other various things throughout the game. But cheating is the only way to test this to see, so unless you have the cheat device or debug room somehow, you're out of luck.

These three posts need answering, and a good and articulated one to avoid further derailing.
First of all, this is the wrong place for this sort of question. Whatever errors, discrepancies or additions you want us to look upon should be posted in the "Errors and Troubleshooting" forum. If you haven't seen someone use it since you got here (a likely possibility), you wouldn't know. Now you do. Second of all, every bit of strategy described in any guide on the site is one strategy in many. In the case of the Ancient Forest, there are numerous possibilities to pass every of the four screen (except maybe the part in the treetops, but you get the idea). The one described in this case is simply the one I used to get passed it, and since it was understood by the staff and easilly repeatable, w<e kept it that way. Third, I'm sorry about this Pinchy, but our guide clearly states that Master Tomberry can be morphed into a Ribbon. Just check out this link and you'll see for yourself. Maybe you missmatched it with the stealable Elixir though. I am however (as I'm sure most of the staff that worked on it) a little surprised at your statement that our guide "does miss a lot of stuff". Perhaps you could use some of your wisdom in the "Errors and Troubleshooting" forum to exactly tell us where we were wrong. Finally, Satoh, your post is not only further derailing, it would also be considered spam even if the whole stuff had been put in the appropriate forum. Well that was productive of me ![]() See you some other time folks. As for now, this topic is closed. This post has been edited by Rangers51 on 1st August 2005 10:16 |
