I never used the magacite items that are in your item storage until today.

I was in the fanatics tower fighting MageMaster and suddenly Celes, Edgar and Terra died, leaving only Sabin (who didnt know life 2 or any strong magic).

Luckily, he had a Wall Ring that kept him from dying, but everytime I used Fenix Down to revive my dead party, the MageMaster would kill them right away. So basically, I was stuck with Sabin, who would not die because of Wall Ring, but would eventually die when the Mage would cast Ultima. So I was screwed.

Luckily, I began using the six Magacites I collected as items. All the espers were useless to me until the LAST magacite I used happened to be Pheonix, which revived my entire party!!!!! That saved me big time. In no time, I was able to kill the Mage Master.

Just thought I'd share that great moment with you, cause this battle lasted about 20 minutes.

I see Magicite as a two edged sword, because Crusader can shows up and that will mean a Game Over ( most likely). I'm happy for you, because Magicite surely is versatile, and most of the time , good Esper can shows up, such as Kirin or Golem, I don't know about Odin or Raiden, though.

i had the situation with crusader, i was in a tough battle and used the magicite, hen showed up and ko'd all my characters, but if you dont get crusader then its a pretty good item

I've always preferred to use things that I could count on. Magicite is random enough that it's really only useful as a last resort, and I try not to get to that point.

I've only used Magicite once. It was early in the game, on my first run. I figured, 'Meh, what's the worst that could happen?" Bam. Crusader. ~7000 damage to a group that did'nt even have that much COMBINED. I have never, ever used that item again. I guess it might be fear. I dunno. Here's a thought though- Magicite is a dead esper, right? Then how can the item summon the SEALED Crusader?

Bus seriously, I've used magicite at least 10 times in the past, and I have NEVER gotten Crusader... I guess I'm just lucky.
