Well, you did read only the first two. I don't believe he's threatened with expulsion in this one, was he? I don't remember that.
Anyway, this topic is for HP and the HBP. If you would like to discuss the series as a whole, you're quite welcome to start a new topic. ![]() -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

Loved the book, second only to Goblet of Fire. That being said, I've got something to add to the whole is
Possible spoilers: highlight to view Snape good or bad thing. While I do not like the fact that Dumbledore is dead, and that Snape was the one who committed the act, I do still think that Snape is on Dumbledore's side. I've got one main reason for this which no one seems to have mentioned. While Potter was chasing Snape outside the school and all his spells were being deflected, Snape was yelling "NO POTTER!". Snape obviously could have stopped Potter right there, not by killing him (Voldemort didn't want that), but by some other non-lethal means. It's my belief that Snape was still teaching Harry, pointing out the fact that he was much slower by having to verbally speaking his spells. If he was too slow to defeat Snape, then how could he ever expect to come through his fight with Voldemort alive? Lemme quote from the book. ""Stupe ---" "Blocked again and again and again until you learn to keep your mouth shut and your mind closed, Potter!" sneered Snape, deflecting the curse once more." That line, more than any other, makes me think that he is still preparing Potter for his final battle. I could very easily wrong, but I'm going to hold on to the hope that I am indeed correct. don't forget about the part involving a closed mind
because remember snape can read minds Possible spoilers: highlight to view but i really think snape was more-so mocking harry thinking he could never learn to colse his mind or master non-verbal spells because an act like killing dumbledore is something you only pull when you have a royal flush or at least you think you do...
