![]() I was playing FF2 on an emulator I got from Vimm's Lair, and I would like to know the strategy for defeating Baigan and the king,I tried the walkthrough on CoN, but it didn't say anything about strategies to defeat them. My current save point is the one in the underground passage to Baron,as a Paladin.MY party and levels are as follows: ---------------------------- Porom,Lvl 10,HP 110 Tellah, Lvl 21,HP 365 Palom,Lvl 10,HP 100 Yang,Lvl 16,HP 605 Cecil,Paladin,Lvl 1,HP 600 ----------------------------- I would appreciate any help,as I type this I am going back to Mysidia to buy some paladin armor, because I just noticed all Cecil has is cloth and his Legend sword. Thanks! ![]() -------------------- Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. WHAT!?!?!?!?
Um yes, get some different armour, and LEVEL UP!!!! you are severely underlevelled. Get Cecil up to like 15-20 before fighting Baigan. |

Give it a go. Just keep pounding him with Yang, Porom and Cecil. Heal with Palom and Tellah (I think i got the twins rght, if not just use the white mage for healing and black mage for damage).
Have you reached the King yet, or are you still at Baigan? |

I'm still at Baigan, but don't you think I should use Tella's Fire3 spell? It does around 1500 damage on a single target at this point of the game.

bolt, bolt, bolt and, umm... bolt. Attack, Attack, cure. Not too hard, just remember to cure when you have low hp.

Oh,one question..When I go back to Baron,I see Palom and Porom in the hallway, but when I press A,it has items for me to use..Would I get killed if I used "soft" on them?

Well, unless somehow your game corrupts and you get into a battle with palom and porom who have been boosted to level 99, dont do it.
On the other hand, feel free to. |

There's no need to ask a question about every part of the game, is there? I know the walkthrough isn't perfectly clear, but we don't need to write a new one in this thread.

You can't revive them. If you use soft, it was say there is no effect.

How did you manage to go all the way to Mt. Ordeals, all the way up Mt. Ordeals, all the way back down and back to Mysidia, and all they way through the sewers without getting in a single battle?

DP: Run, probably. And I don't know what else.
Notes for future reference, in case anyone else has the same problems and also checks this thread: Possible spoilers: highlight to view 1. Fight most (if not all) the random battles you run into. You'll need the experience. 2. If you're playing FF2us, and you're adequately leveled, you can simply run Baigan down with physical attacks. It actually turned out surprisingly easy for me; I just attacked the arm closest to my party, then the body, then the last arm. 3. Baigan's body has reflect status. 4. Cagnazzo/Kainazzo is a water-elemental beast (actually, he's the fiend of water), and is (Obviousman!) weak to Lit attacks. Have Tellah throw Lit-3 and the black mage twin throw Lit-2 (I can't remember which name is his), and everyone else can attack, except the white mage twin, who should be healing. 5. You can't unstone the twins. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. You can find me on the Fediverse! I haven't been at the forums for about a week, thanks to you all,and DP,to answer your question,I just ran from everything, because the skeletons on Mt. Ordeals were hitting 100's on little Cecil who only had cloth body on.And obviously everything else I ran, too. And how I got to Mysidia,I didn't get in a battle because I

Here's a strategy: fight back. There's probably about one dungeon in the game where it isn't detrimental to run. Cecil typically has an advantage in most dungeons because the elements of his swords normally matches up. He can kill most of the monsters on Mt. Ordeals in one hit with the Legend sword.
