Grab your horn and water bottle
Learn to march, intense, full-throttle In the sun that's glaring down in this snobby, State-champ town Have to flaunt what you just learned How you've grown and how you've burned Learning drill charts and memorizing tunes to entertain the football goons and keep the cheerleaders from being idle and recharge the team to keep their title despite the sun that's glaring down in this spoiled, State-champ town The parents expect no less than best make the mothers so impressed They'll gladly pay come next July and make their children wonder why they took band instead of choir when their shorts start catching fire while they're playing their marching show in front of boyfriends, friends, and foe when they stay after school each day listening to what the director will say under the sun that's glaring down in this stupid, State-champ town XD It had to happen. You had to see the poetic side of the Relm, and it -had- to be about band. -------------------- You're telling me that there's no hope. I'm telling you you're wrong. |

Nice. Absolutely true as well. My town WAS a state-champ town 3 years ago, and I HATED it. Everyone was obsessed "ZOMG WE ARE T3H BESTEST EVEN THOUGH WE 4R3 P00R B3C4US3 OF T3H 1LL3G4L IMMIGR4|\|7sz0rz!!!"
Makes 'em forget that they're lazy good-for-nothin' taxpayers' money-wastin' welfare people for a few minutes. -------------------- The island bathes in the sun's bright rays Distant hills wear a shroud of grey A lonely breeze whispers in the trees Sole witness to history ICO-You were there- |

That's pretty good, pretty darn good. For some reason, the little voice inside my head fired up the bass and started reading that …-la rap song. I told it to shut up and find another genre but it never listens.
I would guess this is more of a poem than a song, but it works quite well either way. Thumbs up. ![]() -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

I think it is pretty funny. Is this venting of some sort?
