i liked the the final fantasy6 begining music because it was a little different from the other one i played <ff6 wasthe second one i played after 4> i was like, Whoa, it isn't the crystal theme.

ff8's liberi fatali, of course, is the very best, *but* i agree with many of the posters here that ffiv's crystal theme is a wonderful nostalgic throwback. as far as non-ff games go, cc had probably the best opening music ever (ct has great music, but it didn't really have an "opening theme" because it didn't have much of a motion fmb, and on top of that the title theme was so annoying).

and probably the best vg music ever period.

my favorite intro would have to be ffix's
i don't really know why, but i just like it the best

Chrono Trigger/Cross and FFVIII for me
Being the musician that I am, I am quite partial to a orchestra, esp strong string section, and at a fast pace [About 160 time or better, for the music people out there]
CT Times scar is good for me and FFVI opening is quite good as well

FF VIII has my vote all the way, from the beginning of the into right to the FFVIII theme logo, blasting onto the screen. It gets your heart beating and your mind into the game from the beginning. Probably the most memorable into ever in a videogame.

I like the intro song from Star Oceans: 'Till the End of Times. Final Fantasy VI is very good too.
